Story
We got her at the Dekalb county shelter in Ft . Payne , Alabama . on January 22 nd .We have a 10 year old chihuahua and they are just not getting along with each other . Gracie is ok with our chihuahua but since our chihuahua has been an ( only ) dog for the last 10 years , she is hesitated in being friends . The chip Gracie has does have our information on it . She is well behaved , and sits on comand .she wants to run outside and we don't want her to get lost because we live in a country setting , thus part of our delima with keeping her . This dog is sweet so if you can help , we will appreciate it as we really don't want to take her back to that shelter . We are willing to travel if its under 100 miles to transport this dog if we find her a new home . 🏡

Story
I got Daisy to keep my other dog Gretchen company. For the most part they get along, but Gretchen likes her alone time and Daisy doesn't respect it. Daisy is very outgoing, affectionate and craves attention. I also have a chihuahua, Paisley who is the boss over both dogs. Daisy loves the outdoors and I have a huge yard that she and Gretchen run around in. She also loves being inside. She will go in and out multiple times a day and a doggy door would be good for her. She thinks she's a lap dog and loves to be close to you. She is housebroken but she has had a few accidents. She loves stuffed toys but will destroy them, my house has looked like a graveyard for stuffed animals, lol. Daisy needs someone who will give her the attention she needs and doesn't have to compete for her attention.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . Kermit is a sweet loving guy that just wants to please his humans. He is good with the other dogs at the rescue. Sadly Kermit was adopted by an older couple and couldn't they give him the kind of attention and exercise that a dog his age needs because of their health issues, so he was returned to the rescue. It wasn't his fault, he just wanted someone that can play, run, hike and just have fun with. Kermit has been left in the house at night un-crated and does very well. He waits until morning to be let out to do his business. Kermit also loves car rides and rides quietly watching out the window. He would be a great companion for any active person or family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. Elmo currently weighs 40 pounds is neutered, tested negative for heartworms, up to date on all vaccines, and he has been on his monthly prevention for heartworms, flea, ticks and parasites.   Adoption Fee is $325 to help cover the cost of vetting, neuter, vaccines and preventatives as well as daily needs. Story
*Meet Henley* Henley is a calm and gentle soul, neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He loves being petted but doesnt jump for attention, exuding a relaxed and affectionate demeanor. He excels at walking on a leash and enjoys being an indoor companion as well as spending time outdoors with people, whether on a leash or in a yard. Henley's rescue story began at a gas station where a now volunteer spotted him. She reports, "He approached me, but I noticed he was emaciated and had ticks. Initially thinking he was blind, I later discovered he wasnt. Despite my sisters dog not liking him, I couldnt leave him behind and took it upon myself to provide him with food and water. A police officer informed me that the pup had been roaming the area for two weeks and that hed been hit by a drunk driver recently, which explained his fear of cars. Over two emotional days, I couldnt shake the worry for his safety, especially with my own dogs intimidating him. After contacting numerous shelters and vets, only Summits responded. Once settled, he enjoyed a ride with me, filling my heart with joy. I cried when I left him, prompting me to volunteer and ensure he knew he was loved. Now, hes the sweetest boy and truly loves his car rides!" Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots) Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
