Coco is a good dog who sits/down on command. She also fetches/returns a ball. She is smart, kind and gentle. We understood from the pound that she would be @ 35-40lbs. She is now 60 # at 9mos old. I am on disability and cannot handle her. She needs a wide-open place to run/play.

Story
Rowan is 3 years old and has spent most of his life waiting for his forever home. He always has a big smile on his face. Rowan loves to play with all dogs and doesn't bother the cats in his foster home. Before coming to Sweet Home Animal Rescue he spent a year in an outdoor kennel at the shelter. Now he has almost been in our care for 1 year. Rowan deserves to have a family of his own. He does well on leash, would love to snuggle, and is great around children of all ages. His ideal home is an active household that would allow him to take part in their adventures. *All adoptable animals have been spayed/neutered, received age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm tested (when age-appropriate), microchipped, vet checked, dewormed, and kept on monthly preventatives while in our care. **All adoptables are listed as not housebroken. It is common for dogs/cats to have accidents when adjusting to a new home and schedule.

Daphne, AL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Tito is around 6-7 months old and boy has he had a rough start in life. He was picked up as a stray severely undernourished and covered in scabies. Since Tito didn't receive the correct nourishment for an extended period of time his growth has been stunted. He will most likely be around 20-25lbs as an adult. We aren't sure of his breed but he does have some appear to have some shepherd in him. Tito plays well with other dogs and is just thrilled to be out of the shelter where he spent 30 days in isolation and in a foster home. Tito is scheduled to be neutered on Tuesday and will then be officially ready for his forever home. *All adoptable animals have been spayed/neutered, received age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm tested (when age-appropriate), microchipped, vet checked, dewormed, and kept on monthly preventatives while in our care. **All adoptables are listed as not housebroken. Winnie

St. Bernard

Female, 7 mos
Daphne, AL
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Winnie was found with her littermate and what we assume to be an older sibling. Winnie was extremely underweight for her age and missing the majority of her fur when she was picked up as a stray. Winnie is around 7 months old and is 90lbs. She will be a GIANT adult. If you aren't prepared for a giant breed, please do not apply to adopt her. Giant breeds continue to grow until they are 18 months old. She eats anywhere from 8-10 cups of food a day. Winnie is very shy when she meets someone new or goes out an about. Her foster is working on getting her use to loading up in the car and going in stores. Winnie really connects with her person. She is a little awkward when new dogs come in to her foster home but it doesn't take long for her to warm up (a few days). Winnie loves to play with other dogs. Even though she is already 90lbs she is still a puppy. If you are interested in adopting or finding out more information, please go ahead and complete an adoption application.
