Story
Royce is a happy happy girl with the sweetest smiley face! There is a lot of cuddly cuteness in this sweet baby girl! She is on the SHS All-Star List and quite the little superstar!... Royce is a 2-year-old, 50.8-lb, medium-sized female with a short and compact frame. She is on the lighter side but has a huge-sized loving nature and is really a "happy-go-lucky" kind of girl. She is excited to see people and go outside, and she was great with people passing by the play yard. She is very friendly, affectionate, and gentle. She enjoys to be pet on her sides and belly and will hug up against your leg to get more, more, more! Royce absolutely loves treats and will sit repeatedly without any verbal command in the hopes you'll send some delicious snacks her way. She is well-behaved and easy to handle on a leash. She will run for a ball and then maybe bring it back to you or just tease you with it before dropping it. She sure does love to play ball! And she is just an all-around very happy, fun-loving, little doggie! Royce sure hopes you'll stop by and meet her! This smiley-faced sweetheart is just the best all-in-one package! She is looking for her forever home and somewhere she can spread all her happiness and joy with her special someone. ...You've just gotta smile when Miss Royce is in the room! I mean, truly, you just can't help it. Observations and photos by Krissy Blackwell, volunteer 1/3/24

Story
SENIOR PAWS SPOTLIGHT Banjo is a 7-year-old girl who weighs around 50 pounds. She came to the shelter on February 3 as a stray and will pleasantly surprise you if you give her a chance! She is an older dog but still has a lot of spirit and spunk! Banjo absolutely loves to run and play and is a calm girl but also a playful "zoomie girl. At first, she may seem aloof and not all that interested in you in the play yard but that is far from the truth! Banjo loves to run and come back to you for hugs and treats! Literally, this girl will fall over into your lap backwards and in slow motion for affection and belly rubs!!! She is soooo extremely gentle! Banjo is curious and likes to explore. She will get all up in your lap in whatever you are doing and then go back to making her rounds and zoomies before she comes back again for more treats and loving! She is playful and affectionate and would make someone a really great companion! Banjo has dermdodectic mange (red patchy hair loss, not contagious, treatable), has had many litters of puppies, and may appear quiet, sad looking, and unassuming in her kennel alone -- so she easily can be overlooked. Please help her find a loving home! Characteristics: Friendly, Calm but Playful, Curious, Extremely gentle, Zoomie girl, Loves to run and play and explore, Affectionate, Loves belly rubs,Treat-motivated Observations made by Foster Family (10/16/24)

Story
Meet Lady Lady is a spunky, intelligent girl who is young at heart She may be considered a senior citizen with her grey chin, but don't let her age fool you, she has enough energy to keep up with the most active pups She is quick to learn new tricks and pick up on routine. Don't be surprised if she becomes your built in alarm clock. She knows when you are supposed to be up and will remind you with a quick lick or by snuggling in close Like most intelligent dogs, she has a mind of her own. Don't be surprised if she talks back to you. But she knows her place and will quickly obey a command She loves taking walks, and walks fairly well on a leash. She still likes to pull but will stop when corrected. This regal girl is a queen and would prefer to be in a house where she can be the head dog in charge. She gets along well with others, but does not like to be challenged for the throne Lady is a large dog, very loving, likes cuddles, watching tv, and play time. However, she is blissfully unaware of her true size. For this reason she would be best in a home with older children or active adults. Observations made by Foster Family
