Story
Hello from Texas! I am a handsome senior Dandie Dinmont mix named Bently and today is my birthday!! Yep, today 2/2/25 I am 13 years old, weigh 15 lbs, and I’m looking for some new digs. It’s a shame when a senior dog needs to find a new home, but this is Texas and it sucks for dogs. For some reason, many people can easily dump their dogs and puppies when they no longer want them or they might cost them some money, but fortunately, there are wonderful dog rescues like 4 Little Paws who will happily take us in and cover the cost for everything we might need… and in my case that was a dental cleaning, some tooth extractions, a couple of small cysts removed, and grooming. Wow, I feel like a new man and I look fabulous! My foster mom says I’m a perfect companion with a very nice temperament, friendly with everyone, and a chillaxed attitude. I’m great with other dogs but my playful days are behind me. Other than some grooming needs I am very low maintenance and I’m a lover boy. I sleep next to my foster mom in bed each night and although I enjoy being close to her, I am not clingy or velcro and have no separation anxiety. I simply love to love and be loved in return. I rarely bark and I’m housebroken. I’m well-behaved and will walk on a leash with some encouragement. I don't mind a ride in the car and other than being in a crate only when we take a drive to the groomer, I don't need or use one. I’m free to roam, free to explore, free to nap when and where I want, and I’m lovely! I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be so inquire about me today! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.
