Story
Meet Auggy, a two year old Pointer/Doberman mix weighing around 68 pounds.Auggy is a big boy with a lean boy-type. He is pretty excited in his kennel but once he is outside for a couple of minutes he calms down, this is quite common for dogs in shelter environments. This guy is a friendly dork who is happy to say hi to new people and wants nothing more than to make new friends. Want a dog that wants to go on adventures? Look no further! Auggy will stand outside with a toy in his mouth just waiting for someone to play with him, it is pretty cute. He has done fantastic with all the dogs we have introduced him to. He plays extremely well, doesn`t fixate on the dog or want to cause trouble he is just happy to be included. He even met a rather angry small dog that told him off for just sniffing at him and Auggy was completely cool with it. Auggy went on a hike recently and stuck his head in a rabbit hole and then pointed at it... Good boy Auggy! We have been really impressed with Auggy during his time with us and think he will make an excellent dog for someone. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don`t Shop.
