Story
If sunshine on your shoulders makes you happy, Sunshine in your home will make you smile! Okay, maybe the song wasn't about our Sunshine, but only because John Denver never met her. An elegant white and black Dalmation/Pointer mix, with a laugh-out-loud tickled smile, a cute black patch over one eye, and fold-over ears that sport little black dots, 7-month-old Sunshine can make anybody's day brighter. A girl who truly wants to please her person, she watches her foster mom to try and match her energy. During playtime, she does crazy pup zoomies, loves to roll in the grass outside and run with the other dogs, but when mom is ready to sit and watch TV, Sunshine is a calm, intelligent presence who craves cuddles and affection. She melts into your arms when hugs are bestowed, and her foster says when she sits up straight, she has a regal bearing and looks like a queen. Like all pups, Sunshine is a big chewer, but this well-behaved girl sticks to whatever chew toys are given to her, rather than furniture and shoes. She take direction and redirection beautifully, so training is rewarding for both her AND her human. She's house trained, sits, and "Waits" on command for feedings, has shown no aggression of any kind, and walks great on a leash. On walks, she doesn't react to cats, so she'd probably be fine with a feline housemate, especially since she tends to be a gentle soul. Though a little timid about getting in the car, between her foster's training and Sunshine's keen intelligence and desire to learn, she'll probably be asking to drive sometime soon. (DON'T LET HER.) Come see Sunshine and let her light up your life. Story
Tony is a brown and black, 4 month old Australia Kelpie/German Shepherd mix, with beautiful, intelligent eyes, alert, upright ears, and a white chest, neck and front feet. But it's the crazy toe markings on his back feet that makes his looks unique. Looks aren't everything, though, and Tony is unique in personalilty, too. Always happy and showing off his big doggy smile, he's also the bravest and most outgoing of his siblings. Tony LOVES his food, so mealtime is never a problem with this pup.He plays well with the other dogs, and is very trusting with humans. House-training is still a work in progress, but with the smarts he's shown so far, success should be just around the corner. Being eager to please, food-driven, trusting, and intelligent, Tony would thrive with someone who would take the time to train him. Simple commands or trick training will stimulate his brain, speed bonding, and make him an even happier dog. Come see this bright boy and give him a try. Could be the smartest thing you ever do. Story
We're the new pups on the block! We were found caked in mud, stuck in a drain pipe! Things weren't looking great for us until we were rescued by a kind person, brought to the vet and now resting comfy and cozy in a home. We're looking for loving families to adopt us! We are shepherd/blue lacy mix pups. So we'll make great family dogs, love playing, and have decent energy. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Zila is a loving and resilient kelpie mix looking for her forever home. Despite losing a leg after being hit by a car, she has adapted wonderfully and gets around with ease. Her playful spirit shines through as she enjoys playing ball and engaging in a good game of chase with other dogs. Zila is also well-behaved and trained-she's both crate and potty trained, making her a great companion in the home. She knows the command sit & would easily be trainable for more commands. Walking on a leash is no challenge for her, as she's confident and calm during walks. When it comes to interacting with other dogs, Zila is definitely an "in your face" kind of dog. She loves to play and can be very energetic, making her a great playmate for other active dogs. However, she would also do really well as an only dog, especially in a home where a meet and greet with other dogs isn't possible. Zila is available in Texas and would thrive in a home that can match her energy or give her the solo attention she deserves. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, Zila might be the perfect fit! Zila is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX. She is available in Texas, the PNW, and NE (excluding MA and NH). All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).
