Story
I met Dolce (Dolch) at the Williamson County Animal Shelter in Georgetown, Texas. We were looking for another dog to accompany Leila, my Shiba Inu. We met several dogs, but the minute I saw Dolce, I knew he was special. He is a very loving, easy-going, and energetic companion. He loves to have his neck and back brushed, loves pork hot dogs as treats, and is very friendly to humans and other domestic animals. Although he is big and imposing, don't expect him to play guard dog; he is too eager to make more friends. Dolce is still a puppy at heart. Unfortunately, circumstances have changed in my home, and I can no longer support both of my dogs and will have to relocate. We currently live in central Texas, near Austin. I hope to find him a home where he can continue to experience love, kindness, and friendship. Thank you.

Story
My husband and I adopted Leo from the Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center! He is around 1.5-2 years old. We got Leo as a companion to his littermate, Marco, whom we adopted when he was 4 months old & they are showing signs of littermate syndrome. Leo is a shy/anxious boy who would do best in a female only household, as he’s been abused by men & if there are dogs, dogs his size. He does still need basic training and 1-on-1 attention. He is slowly grasping the command and come but is not confident. He loves to play fetch and loves to be pet once he comfortable. He hates baths and hates the harness but is completely fine once walking or in the car. We truly believe he can thrive in a different environment, one that can give him the care and training he needs. We have three other dogs including his brother and realized we can’t give him the proper care needed with his background.

Cane is a sweet inquisitive guy with bright-as-a button black eyes and cute stand-uppy ears. He's new to us, so we're still getting to know him, but he has already made doggy friends at the refuge and seems like a confident little guy and just the perfect size. If you would like to meet Cane now, please go to our website wimberleywagrescue.org to fill out an application. There is no obligation to adopt a dog when you submit an application. Thank you!

Story
Delta, Princess D, Princess Belly Rubs, Splashy Swimmer, Silly Pants, and Beautiful Girl are all the names this girl goes by. Don't let these nicknames fool you; Delta is strong on the outside and soft on the inside. She will snuggle next to you (and hog space) in bed, follow you around like a puppy, give kisses, and ask for belly rubs. Delta is such a smart and snuggly homebody. She loves ear rubs, belly rubs, taste testing while you cook, sleeping close, and chewing on Benebones. Outside, she's about sunning with her belly up (working on her freckles), swimming in kiddie pools, and running in the yard. Open the car door, and she'll jump right in. She loves the car. If you're looking for a coffee drive-thru or a quiet place for a walk, count her in as your co-pilot, with her ears flapping out the window. Delta would love a friendly dog sibling (or two) who likes to play and keep her company while you are away. She has separation anxiety, but all she needs is a close doggie friend to keep her happy. Do you work from home or do the hybrid thing? She is a fantastic coworker who will either have her head on your lap or napping nearby. She'd love a family that is home more than away while she transitions to her new home and sibling. The sweet girl is looking for a calm, cheerful, and loving adult home. She likes people she can trust, so she prefers slow introductions. But when she is ready for love, it is all wiggles and kisses. Delta has so much personality and loves sharing it with close friends! Meet your girl (and bring hot dog treats)! See more fun times @pitstoptofurever, @princess.bellyrubs, and @thelongstayproject.

Story
Cash came from Dallas, TX back in 2021 and has been in our care ever since. We'd love to see this sweetheart in a home as he's been in shelter long enough. Cash is the kind of house guest you'd love to have - respectful, well-behaved, and always up for cuddle time. He's crate-trained but also great free-roaming! He's got a heart as big as his love for toys, and he knows how to keep you company whether you're working from home, binge-watching Netflix, or you're just snoozing on the couch. Cash is looking for a family who understands that love and patience can work wonders. A cozy spot by the window for sunbathing, a basket full of toys, and a heart full of love - that's all Cash needs to feel at home. Ask a matchmaker about him today! Check him out on Instagram @adopt_cash

Story
Meet Colette, the joyful pup who's bursting with love and ready to find her forever home! This spirited young girl adores butt scratches and is eager to share her cozy cuddles with a special someone. With a playful spirit, Colette is always up for a game of tug of war-it's one of her absolute favorites! Not only is she a fun-loving companion, but she's also quite the brainiac! Colette is eager to learn and loves showing off her tricks, with "spin" being her latest achievement. She's fully house-trained and a fantastic houseguest, happily roaming around without any destructive tendencies. Bath time? No problem at all! Colette is as easygoing as they come. She gets along well with other dogs and could happily share her home with a furry sibling. She's also spent some time with a pot-belly pig and tortoise on a fieldtrip; she was completely unphased so we think she could be great for a home with some farm animals too! If you're looking for a loving, playful companion who will fill your life with joy, Colette is ready to be your new best friend! Come meet her and see just how special she truly is!
