Story
Polo is just a hoot. Polo is a male Dalmation/Pointer mix that weighs around 49 pounds. He is estimated to be 1-2 years old. Polo was found in the Metroparks with adoptable dog Marco and both were brought to the shelter. No one claimed either dog. Polo was filthy, urine stains, and thin. This dog is very happy and friendly. Polo can be shy at the beginning for 3 seconds and then he is your BFF. Polo has a medium energy level and can pull on leash. He can actually walk right next to you. When he feels like it. He is a sponge absorbing all the affection he can get. He loves being called a good boy. He was recently taken to get a bath and he was great. I wouldn’t say he loved it but what dog really loves a bath. Except for a lab. Polo also rode well in the car, minimal crying. Polo is a toy aficionado. He really wants to be a part of whatever you are doing. He has a bad case of FOMO (fear of missing out). Polo loves adventures and would benefit from an active family. Compatibility with children and felines is unknown. He is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes vetting which includes updated vaccines, neuter, microchip, and heartworm testing. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Polo. Polo’s adoption fee is $160.
