Story
Hi, I'm Raven! I was found as a stray in Easton, and no one came to claim me, but that's okay—I know there’s a perfect family out there for me. I’m a sweet girl who loves every person I meet, though I can be a little shy at first. Once I get comfortable, I’m all about love and attention! I’m working on my leash manners, but other than that, I have pretty good manners. Since I can be a bit shy, I think I'd do best in a household without little toddlers, as loud or sudden movements can make me nervous. The staff here is helping me with socializing with other dogs, and so far, they think I might do best as the only dog in the home. They’re going to test me with a few different personalities, so we’ll see! I absolutely love being active—I’m all about running around and getting the zoomies! I’m a fun girl who loves to get out and stretch my legs. While I haven’t played with toys much here yet, I’m still figuring out how fun they can be, and I’d love to see what adventures await me with you! If you’re looking for a loving, active companion who just needs a little time to adjust, I might be the one for you. Let’s start a new chapter together! Story
Say hello to Tulsa, a lovable 1.5-year-old, 40-lb Australian Kelpie mix who's ready to find her forever family! Tulsa is the definition of a well-rounded, affectionate, and adaptable companion. Tulsa is living the dream with her foster family, which includes a 1-year-old baby (who adores feeding her by hand), a 13-year-old cat, an 85-lb male pit mix, a smaller one-eyed doggy sibling, her foster mom, and her foster dad. Tulsa coexists happily with everyone in an apartment—no separations needed! Did we mention Tulsa is phenomenal with children? She's gentle, patient, and loves being part of a family. Tulsa gets along wonderfully with other dogs, both on- and off-leash, and even respects her feline roommate. Plus, she's super affectionate: She adores belly rubs, gives her paw for treats (sometimes both paws!), and is happiest when she's by your side. While she sleeps peacefully through the night without needing cuddles, she’s always eager for hugs during the day! Tulsa is an energetic pup, and loves running, going for walks, and playing fetch (squeaky balls are a plus!), though she’s still on the hunt for her favorite toy. She’s also a great running partner! She would be an ideal pet for an active home. She’s housebroken, crate-trained, and doesn’t chew on shoes, furniture, or baby toys. Like most dogs, she might sneak a bite of unattended food, but her manners are otherwise impeccable. Tulsa is still fine-tuning her leash skills and seems to do best with a harness, but she's happy to walk with anyone. She rarely barks—maybe twice a week when she’s super excited—and is an all-around quiet and calm pup. Tulsa is the ultimate family dog or the perfect match for an individual looking for an affectionate, energetic, and loyal companion. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, and playful pup to complete your family, Tulsa is the one for you! Tulsa is currently being fostered in Long Island City. Her adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Hunter is an incredible German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) who has been a beloved part of our family since she was just a puppy. She’s a true sweetheart who thrives on attention and companionship, making her the perfect addition to an active and loving home. Hunter is crate-trained, well-behaved, and has a passion for upland hunting—her instincts and energy make her a joy to watch in the field. Beyond her skills, she’s a deeply affectionate dog who will quickly become your best friend. Our family is heartbroken to part with Hunter, but we are committed to finding her the loving home she deserves. Ideally, we’d love to see her rehomed with her best buddy, our other GSP, Major. They are inseparable and would thrive together in a home that values their companionship and playful bond.

Story
Major is a fantastic German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) who has been a cherished member of our family since he was just a puppy. He’s a big sweetheart who adores attention—truly a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Major is crate-trained, incredibly loving, and an exceptional upland hunter. He’s especially skilled at pointing pheasants, making him a great companion for anyone who enjoys hunting or simply wants an active and loyal dog by their side. It’s with heavy hearts that we’re seeking a new home for Major, but we are committed to finding him a family that will love him as much as we do. Ideally, we’d love for Major to be rehomed alongside his best friend and partner, our other GSP, Hunter. These two share an unbreakable bond and would thrive together in a home that values their companionship and talents. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion or a skilled hunting partner—and can provide a home for both Major and Hunter—please reach out.
