Story
Please meet and consider adopting Coco, she's 2. She's the most gentle, snuggly dog, who loves to be next to her people all the time. She doesn't like to be left alone and has accidents if left alone too long. Coco is susceptible to ear infections, requires prescription food, heart worm injections and allergy injections. She had been kenneled trained when she was a puppy but we haven't enforced that lately. She sleeps on our bedroom floor at night but would prefer our bed. She lives with kids and an older dog and does extremely well. She has met a cat and did fine. She is low energy and very affectionate. Coco does well on walks with a gentle leader. Car rides aren't her favorite. She loves to chew rawhides. She doesn't play tug with ropes, or retrieve balls. And she's apprehensive about dog treats. We have a fenced in back yard it's fun to watch her have the zoomies, she's fast! She's a good dog who needs more than we can provide.

Story
Hi- I’m Bailey, and I am a BIG beautiful baby!  I have the sweetest eyes, beautiful soft ears, and extra long legs.  Here are some things you should know about me: Breed mix – Best guess is Great Dane, Hound, Pointer and/or possibly Great Pyrenees- a big mix! Age – about 6 months – date of birth 5/9/24 Weight – last official weight was 45 lbs at the beginning of October.  I am a skinny, lanky girl right now, but once I fill out, I am going to be a large to extra-large sized dog when full-grown. Activity level – medium –  I do have bursts of goofy, clumsy energy that make my foster family laugh.  I love to wrestle with the other dogs in my home, but I also like to snuggle with my humans, or lounge around on a comfy bed or couch. Things I like to do- I am a pretty chill girl during the day and hang out on my bed while my mom works.  I am submissive with other dogs, but once I am comfortable I love to play with them.  I like to sniff around in the back yard, and I like chewing on bones and sticks.  I love food, and my food motivation will make it fun to work on training with me. Kennel-  I sleep quietly in the kennel all night (although I am an early riser)  and I am kenneled periodically during the day. Sometimes I go into the kennel on my own to relax.  I do bark at strangers in the home if I am kenneled while they are there – but I quiet down quickly Potty Training-  I am almost completely housebroken – you just need to pay attention to how much water I have been drinking Things I am working on-  My foster mom is showing me that the world is not a scary place, and that we can have fun adventures together.  I was very nervous when I first got here, and new situations are still scary for me. My foster family takes me to a dog-friendly brewery, and I love meeting all the new people and dogs there.  Now that I am used to the humans in my home, I love to be near them, and like to get pets and belly rubs from them.  I am also learning that food on the counter does not belong to me -since I am very tall and have a hound’s nose, my adoptive family will need to make sure food is kept out of reach.  I have made great progress in learning to sit nicely for pets and treats instead of asking for them by jumping. Dogs-  I am being fostered with two adult dogs, and I follow them everywhere and love to play with them.  I would love another dog in my forever home, but it is not essential Kids -  Although I am very gentle and sweet, I am still working on not jumping on people.  Because of my size, it is best that I go to family with older children Cats-  unknown Walking-  My leash manners need some work, but I have learned that walking on a leash is not scary, and I love my walks now.  I rarely go potty on a leash, so it’s best that my forever family has a fenced yard, or has the patience to work with me on this Other things you should know about me- Like most extra-large dogs, I am a messy drinker, and can be a heavy drooler, especially when I’m nervous or if someone has food they are not sharing with me. I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations and preventive care, and ready to find a forever family If you would like to meet Bailey, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.

Story
Meet Mimi-  This adorable, delightfully scruffy girl is not even 2 years old and has already had her own puppies.  Thankfully she was rescued by Spots and is now ready to find a family that will love her forever. Mimi is a sweet and goofy girl that has just the right amount of both spunk and chill.  She loves a good romp in the backyard or a nice walk, but also loves to lounge around and nap while her foster works. Mimi is completely house trained and, although she would rather lounge on her fluffy dog bed, she will stay quietly in the crate when needed.  She is working on all of the basics- sit, stay, calm, down, wait, and walking manners.  She is super smart and loves to learn- especially if you have treats.  Mimi also loves car rides and adventures! Mimi is friendly with dogs and people- she would love to have another dog to play with, but would also be just fine on her own.  She is on the bigger size-maybe a poodle, flat coated retriever, wirehaired pointer mix-and in the awkward stage so might be best to go with a family with only older kids.  Mimi would really like to have a fenced yard as she still isn’t great with going to the bathroom on a leash.  She is a special girl that will instantly make her way into your heart- if you are ready for laughs and snuggles, please consider putting in an application to meet this goofball.
