Hi! My name is Tex and I am from Arkansas. Tex is a great guy, he just rolls with the experiences. Want to go outside? Sure, want to go for a walk? Sure. He walks very well on the leash, He is so friendly to other dogs that I had to pull him back. But in only one walk I was able to teach him Halt? and then Stay! So that we could watch the other dogs pass us without being pulled over to them!! Tex is so kind to my two corgis who are much smaller, he waits for them at the top of the stairs before he comes into the house. If you want a dog, but don't want the bother of house breaking and the destruction of a puppy, Tex is your man!! He loves to sit on the couch with you and watch tv--he barks at all the dogs just in case you fall asleep!! He just wants to sit near you and tries to climb into your lap. But, he got OFF! right away and without complaint, he moves over to sit next to you. Tex is a little overweight and he does LOVE his food. but, like everything else, whatever you put out for him is just fine. He does not love dry food, but if I put a little water or even better, some gravy from a jar--he is all over it!! He does prefer to be fed separate if another dog is present. He is very delicate with treats and say thanks with his eyes! Most of all, he is grateful. He is grateful for his food and for a place to lie down with a friend. He is humble and only asks for what you give him. If you are busy, he will lie in the corner--if you want to play he jumps up and joins in. He is the easiest dog I have fostered and the most grateful. His tail which stands straight up just swishes all day long--for Tex, life is good!!!
