Dog's Name: Luna (aka Fluffin) (LUN1025OWSFS)Estimated Breed: Dalmatian / Border Collie / Lab mixApproximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 58 lbs Currently Living at: FosterAdoption Fee: $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Luna – Your Personal Ray of Moonlight! If joy could wag a tail, it would look exactly like Luna. This 1-year-old, 58-pound bundle of happiness is basically the canine version of a double shot of espresso—energized, playful, and ready to brighten your whole day! Luna isn’t just beauty and bounce—she’s brainy too. She’s house trained, fetches like a pro, and knows her commands: sit, down, stay, oh, and did we mention she loves swimming? She’s graduated from not one, but two puppy manners classes (that’s basically Ivy League for pups!) and has thrived at Doggie Daycare, where she makes friends like it’s her full-time job. Dogs? She loves them. Cats? She’s cool with them. Kids? She’s ready to play tag, fetch, or just be their furry shadow. Luna is always affectionate and she loves sitting close to you in the evening and snuggling with your feet or on the couch. This social lady is ready for any adventure—whether it’s a family picnic, a beach day, or just a backyard game of fetch, she’s in. If you’re a young, active family looking for a four-legged best friend who will match your energy and shower you with love, Luna’s your girl. Apply today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
