Story
Meet Atlas! This guy ended up with Helping Paws after not adjusting well to life with the addition of a baby to the family. He is a very sweet and sensitive boy and can get easily spooked by kiddos that move too quickly. But he is currently in a foster home with older children and is doing great! He also came to us very nervous of men, but has gotten MUCH better since first arriving and gaining more confidence. He has the best tail wag where all of his butt wiggles and it will melt anyone's heart! Atlas knows a lot of commands and is pretty good listener since all he wants to do his please his people :) He is housetrained and crate trained as well. He does ok in car, but it isn't his favorite thing. He also is doing well working on his leash training. Atlas needs a little bit to warm up to new dogs (again, it's just a lack of confidence with him), but once he does, he loves to run and play! He has become the resident puppy babysitter in his foster home and loves to run around with a toy so the puppies chase him! He can sometimes guard his toys with other animals, but we are working on correcting that as well and he's doing great. He did live with cats previously and currently has cats in his foster home, although he sometimes gets a little too interested in them so a dog savvy cat or no cats would probably best. Atlas' adoption fee is $250 and he comes vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is also heartworm negative and is current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Story
Meet Fang! He’s the sweetest most gentle boy! He loves to play, I mean he could play for hours and not get tired. I originally got him when he was a puppy so I’ve had him for 5 years, it pains me to see him go but he deserves a better home life than I can give him. My living situation is the issue otherwise he’s such a keeper. He loves cuddles, he knows his commands such as sit, lay down, down, go, stay, and “get it.” I use get it for when he’s waiting for his food and staying, and when it’s time to eat I say get it and he eats. Very well trained and will sit by the door when it’s time to go outside for a potty break. He has a beagle bark when a new person comes in but I give all new people cheese and he usually stops. He does have crate anxiety and doesn’t like to be left alone for long periods of time

Story
Fang is a well behaved dog, he knows the commands “sit”, “stay”, “drop”, “lay down”, and his release word for food is “get it”. He is only being rehomed due to our living situation otherwise we would love to keep our boy. He does get separation anxiety when left alone so he must be crated so that he does not get into anything. He has a heavy duty crate, bowls, toys, leashes, and food that will be given to his new owner. He loves to play fetch and is great with children of all ages. He is dog reactive and does not do well with cats or other small animals because he thinks they are prey. He is leash trained but will pull if he sees a barking dog or animals like squirrels or rabbits. He LOVES to sleep and would happily sleep all day in bed with you as a great cuddle buddy. He’s a very loving boy in need of a loving home.

Story
Saylor is a very sweet, partially DEAF, 3-yr old, full-blooded Dalmation who weighs around 60 lbs.. She is not completely deaf but is more what could be considered as "hard of hearing." Saylor came into the resuce with Marina Anchor and the two are very attached. While a home for them together would be fantastic, we are willing to consider separating them. Saylor is currently on a chicken-free diet as she's prone to hot spots and the chicken-free food seems to keep them at bay. Saylor needs an ACTIVE owner who would like to take an interest in training her - something her former owners neglected. She is dog friendly and enjoys toys. She can be destructive and acts more like a 6-month old puppy than a 3-year old adult dog. Saylor is crate trained and it is recommended that she be in a crate when unable to be supervised.. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Since Saylor does have multiple issues that could make it difficult for her to adjust in a new home we are seeking adopters within the Central Indiana area and are not considering out of state adoptions at this time.. Saylor Grace's adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip and recent vet well visit if adopted singlely. If adopted along with Marina Anchor the adoption fee for both together is $300. ##2136378##
