Story
A few months before she turned 1, her and a few of my other dogs escaped through a hole in the fence and into the woods. It took 9 days to find her and by then she had been hit by a car. She's had two surgeries on her right leg but it remains immobile. She still runs and plays and climbs stairs like nothing is wrong. She is now 3.5 years old. Pixel is rambunctious and loves pets/cuddles. She gets along with my kids, other people, male dogs, and anyone who isn't her sister. We want her to go to a home where she can run around and be loved

Story
Ritchie is an Australian Kelpie mix. He is about 40-50 lbs. Ritchie came to us from Bibb County Animal Control. He's a lover! He can be shy with new people, but typically loves the ladies. Debbie, who walks him frequently says that he's just perfect. He's adorable, loves to give kisses and if she didn't already have a house full, would scoop him up! He gets along with girl dogs more than boys. We told you he loves the ladies! Ritchie loves to go on long walks so if you like to go hiking or even just go for a morning walk he is the dog for you. Ritchie is up to date on Vaccinations. Has been neutered. To give Ritchie Rich his furever home: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPRG/Dog

Story
Madeline has been out dog for her entire six years of life. She lives to please and is very affectionate. She loves her humans and loves to play! She knows sit, stay, come, down, blanket, go lay down, toy, shake, wave, crawl, and roll. Unfortunately she can be a bit timid in new experiences. She has had some bad experiences when she was younger with large dogs and has been a bit stand-offish with them since then. We do not have a small dog but she shows great interest in small dogs. We do have a cat who she is primarily respectful of. She is timid around strangers and they timidness can sometimes result in her baring her teeth (she has never actually bit anyone). We recently had a baby and she is exhibiting some of that around him. That along with us no longer having time to devote for her has led my husband and I to decide that rehoming her may be the best situation for everyone involved.

Story
Meet Sark! Hi, folks, I'm Sark! I'm a 2 year old hound/pointer mix, and I'm a good, good boy. I thought I had found my forever family for a time, but they had some things change in their lives that I guess I didn't fit into. So I'm back with my Hero friends, still looking for love and the right family to be mine. Their loss and yours and my gain, as I like to say! I'm neutered and up to date on all of my shots and meds. I love adventures, and think it's cool to go on walks and hikes outside together. I love other dogs (although I do prefer to eat by myself!), and I of course really love my people. I'm looking for my forever home (really, this time) and a family who will love me, and will let me return that love 10 fold (at least). Let's meet and check each other out!!! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Ripley is such a sweetheart with his friendly personality and playful nature. He absolutely loves being around people, even kids, and he’s ready for his forever home! One thing to know about Ripley is that he has tons of energy! You could say he’s got the spirit of a triathlete, which means he’ll need a decent amount of good exercise each day to keep him happy and healthy. While he was originally bred for hunting, you don’t have to go on hunts to give him joy. Active families will adore having Ripley around since he’s always up for fun adventures like runs, hikes, and even bike rides. He’ll be your loyal companion, trotting happily alongside you on any long hike or run you can manage. Plus, his smarts and athleticism make him a fantastic candidate for agility training! Ripley loves to learn and has a strong desire to have a purpose, so he’s usually very open to picking up new tricks and skills throughout his life. Just remember, consistency is key, and he responds best when you are a firm and confident leader. While Ripley is wonderful with humans and other dogs, he’s not exactly a fan of cats. Overall, though, he’s a delightful companion ready to fill your life with joy and adventure! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.
