Story
I bought Arlo on May 17 2024 when he was around 5-6 months old, from a lady in Merritt Island—before I knew anything about unethical breeding (She was arrested in the summer of 2024 for unethical breeding & animal cruelty). Arlo is super friendly, kind, gentle, he's a big baby and wouldn't hurt a fly. He used to be scared of outdoor garbage cans but has overcome that fear. When he's outside sudden noises can alarm him. He loves to run, and is very good at playing fetch and catching rubber balls midair (specifically Chuckit! branded rubber balls). I'm looking for someone that will love him and give him all the love he deserves. And maybe someone that wouldn't mind us asking about him every now and then.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Name: Pluto Mercury (named by a 4 year old while at Kennedy Space Center) Status: Available for adoption Medical Status: Healthy Weight: 38 lbs Age: 1yr Sex: Male (neutered) Breed: Hound/Pointer Mix (DNA test pending) Personality: Friendly, Stage 5 clinger Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Unknown (ignored the only cat he met) House trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Pluto is a fun hound mix in his "awkward teenage" stage. He is silly, playful, and eager to please. Watching him chase his tail is hilarious and entertaining. If you want a cuddler, look no more. He does have puppy tendencies of jumping and being very mouthy/nippy. Pluto is housebroken with just a few accidents (his number one priority is playing when he gets outside vs potty). He’s learning leash manners and could use some practice, but he is learning fast. He literally learned SIT in less than 5 minutes. He goes into the crate on his own and with no issues. He likes to take naps and stash toys in there, although he briefly protests when the crate closes. If you’re looking for a sweet and loyal companion who will follow you around and just want to be close, Pluto might be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet this adorable guy today—Pluto Mercury is ready to find his forever home!
