Story
Location: Malibu, CA Sky is about 3.5 yrs. old and a real doll. She is a happy and healthy girl looking for love. She is energetic, smart and very active, she likes to run around the horse barn all day long at her foster home. She will need a family to match her activity level. Sky is great with other dogs, cats, kids and horses. She really doesn't care for men, but if the man is patient and let's Sky come to him on her terms, she does better. Sky will take time and patience from her adopter. She is not a dog to be cuddled on, she decides if she wants to cuddle you. She does love to be close to her people however. Once she bonds with you, she will love you. She is not a fan of being petted by strangers and does not like to be left alone. Could you be a good match for Sky? Story
Location: San Marcos, CA **Foster or Forever Home Needed** Say hi to Daisy, she is about 2.5 years old, Deaf, super sweet and loves to give kisses. This precious girl was dumped by her former owners at another Dal owners' home. This kind man has been caring for her, but he already has a house full of dogs. Daisy deserves her own family to love. She is great with other dogs and beyond affectionate. She has no idea that she is Deaf, she acts no different than any hearing dog. Daisy will need a bit of work on her leash manors and complete potty training. Right now, kids are unknown. Would you like to give this precious girl a forever home or even a foster home? Story
Location: Bakersfield, CA Please meet Hope, this sweetheart is only around 1 yr old and has had a rough start in life. She was abandoned on the streets shortly after having puppies and landed in the scary shelter. Once freed from the chaos of the shelter, Hope began to shine. This little girl is the biggest cuddler ever. We have learned that Hope is Deaf, but don't tell her, she acts just like any other hearing dog. In spite of her former life, Hope still has faith in humans. All this darling girl wants is to be loved. She has your typical Dalmatian energy, loves to run and play in the fenced back yard with her foster canine companions. Hope is a little too overly excited for the cat in her foster home, however she has not tried to bite/hurt the cat but she will chase them. We are saying no kids right now, simply because Hope is young and is still working on her manners. She loves playing with toys. Enjoys tug a war with rope toy. She will pay lots of attention for a treat. She has the potential to learn many things. She’s definitely a Velcro dog, she wants to be always touching her humans. Hope deserves a home of her own, where her humans can shower her with love and affection. If you think that home is yours, please apply. Story
Location: Grass Valley, CA Please meet Dingo, this beyond cute boy is 5 years old and sports a very unique coat. Dingo is cuddler, enjoys meeting people and sniffing the world around him. Great with other dogs, cats and older kids. This boy loves to learn, he gets super excited when it's time to train. He knows "Place" and "Come", has learned additional tricks as well, as he is so eager to please and is beyond smart. Having both traits of Dalmatian and Collie, Dingo also loves to be busy. Running and playing with other dogs are his thing and he is very good about it. Will avoid any not so nice dogs at the dog park. Dingo loves to chew, but only on appropriate very sturdy toys, he is a very good boy and never destroys anything in the home. He is protective of his home and will bark when people walk their dog's past. He will bark at the evil UPS man for having the audacity to drop of a box on his front porch, but behind the door is also wagging his tail so appears to be guarding but may be inviting the new human to and play. He's afraid and whimpers in the car but calms down in about 5 minutes (travels in crate in the car). He's crate trained at home but would prefer to nap on the couch or near you. Dingo would thrive in a home with another dog (s) He has enough of a prey drive for squeaky toys, that he should avoid very small rodent pets in the home (guinea pig or rat). Will you give Dingo his forever home? Story
This 4 yr old, liver-spotted boy is gorgeous! He's lost weight and now is at his ideal weight. He absolutely loves all dogs, but can be human choosey. He attaches quickly and true to the breed, is a Velcro Dal. He is happy all day, barges in to be closest to you on the couch or bed, and has no personal space. He thinks he's a lap dog, all 72 lbs of him. He loves tennis balls and playing with all the dogs. He has a keen sense of people approaching the house and gives out a big, deep bark. Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter, chipping, rabies and other vax, vetting from a licensed DVM. Story
Marvin is a sweet and noble dog, 1.5 years old and 30 pounds. He was hanging around the shelter for a couple of weeks, he was given food, water and some love, but we decided to take him in when he arrived really injured and covered in blood, we think he was attacked by dogs. Fortunately in his medical checkup he didn't come out with many problems, and he is now healthy and ready for his new home! He knows how to coexist with other dogs, although he has his temper, he is usually very tolerant with effusive puppies. He likes to sleep in his giant bed, is crate-trained, house-trained and is sociable and friendly with new people. He knows how to ride in a car, and smiles when you scold him, he is adorable! We don't know exactly what breed he is, google lens finds a resemblance to an English Pointer and Andalusian ratter. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar.
