Story
Della is a very sweet and petite girl. She loves to cuddle and is very food driven. She was a San Diego dog that had a lot of space playing with other dogs at daycare/parks/yards. Since moving to San Francisco, she has had a hard adjustment. Her happy place is really to just hangout on the couch. She doesn’t really care for walks as long as she has space to be off leash so a backyard would be best. Her anxiety tends to make her nervous and more defensive while on leash or in car rides so long trips outdoors aren’t ideal, but off leash she is very confident and loves to explore. Given she is almost 10yrs old, it would be very difficult for her to go through another move to NYC so I am hoping the perfect family can give her the love to let her enjoy her final years. She is completely trained, knows her commands, and can shake :)

Story
One of our veteran foster families spent some time with Luna recently and let us know all about their time with this great gal! "Luna was an absolute delight! She was very well behaved on the leash, energetic but not a puller unless squirrels dash by. Luna is mellow even when other dogs are barking at her. She was happy to chase balls in our backyard and enjoyed taking naps in the sun. She also loved a good chew toy and some tummy rubs. Luna is a very quiet dog - I don't believe we ever heard her bark. She seems comfortable with some alone time, and she waited patiently for us to greet her in the morning after we slept in a different part of the house. She also travels well in a car. Luna is a big, athletic dog, and it is clear that she is still young and can get mouthy and jump up when playing or roughhousing, but she responds well when corrected. She can sit, lie down, and shake hands on command. Luna is a bright, beautiful, curious, sweet, and fun loving dog. Luna would benefit from more exposure to a variety of people as she seems a bit cautious about interacting with new people and is also protective of her existing relationships. Having said that, she took quickly to us and we fell in love with her over the weekend."

Y’all ready for a little country charm? Meet Luke, Morgan, and Garth—three Catahoula Hound mix puppies with personalities as big as a honky-tonk anthem! At just 12 weeks old, these boys were rescued from the shelter and are now looking for their forever homes, where they can sing, dance (zoomies count as dancing), and steal your heart faster than a cowboy at sunset. Life with the Country Music Litter These pups wake up with the crack of dawn at 6:30 AM—because just like true country stars, they believe in early mornings and late-night singalongs. They’re still young, which means they’re working on making it through the night without an accident, but let’s be real—at this stage, they might still need a midnight potty break or a designated pee pad setup. Their meal schedule is breakfast at sunrise, lunch at 1 PM, and dinner at 7 PM—because even country pups know the importance of a good meal! Due to food insecurity from their early days, they’re still learning that food will always be there. Right now, they eat best when separated in their kennels so they can chow down at their own pace without worry. Their new family will need to continue teaching them that dinner is a promise, not a race—but with love, patience, and lots of belly rubs, they’ll get there! To help these little stars get used to kennel time, it’s best to start with an hour of alone time before bedtime on their first night home. Don’t worry—they might grumble at first, but soon they’ll be snoozing like a tour bus full of tired musicians. Meet the Band Luke (Black) – The Sweetheart Balladeer If country music has taught us anything, it’s that puppy-dog eyes can melt hearts—and Luke is living proof! This calm and cuddly boy loves nothing more than being held. Pick him up, and he’ll turn into a puddle in your arms, completely content to soak up all the love. Of the whole litter, Luke is the one most likely to want a furry sibling—he thrives on companionship and may struggle with being alone. If you’re looking for a devoted little shadow to follow you everywhere, Luke is your guy! Morgan (Spotted) – The Acoustic Crooner Morgan doesn’t just love affection—he demands it! This little guy will cry for cuddles, then happily park himself in your lap for an hour like he owns the place (spoiler alert: he does). But don’t be fooled by the sweet act—he’s also a bit of a rascal! He loves to wrestle, tussle, and escape from X-pens like a true country outlaw. If you want a puppy with equal parts snuggles and mischief, Morgan is ready to steal the show! Garth (Black with Brindle Legs) – The Big-Stage Performer With his rare brindle legs and larger size, Garth is already the headliner of the group! He’s the most playful and confident, always ready to pounce, wrestle, and play tug-of-war like a true star of the show. If you’re looking for a dog that will grow into a loyal, strong, and loving family protector, Garth is your guy. Plus, let’s be real—those brindle legs? They belong on an album cover. Adopting a Country Music Star Raising a puppy is a little like writing a country song—it takes patience, a little heartache (hello, potty training!), and a whole lot of love. These boys are crate trained but still working on housetraining, teething, and learning not to bark at every new thing (because everything is exciting when you’re a puppy!). They’re looking for homes that will: Continue their training – Puppies need guidance to grow into well-mannered dogs. Give them love and structure – They’ve been through a lot but are eager to learn and trust. Keep them active – These boys have energy to burn and will thrive with playtime and walks. Understand the hound spirit – Catahoula mixes are smart, loyal, and love a good adventure! If you’re ready to welcome one of these chart-topping pups into your home, get ready for cuddles, chaos, and the best love song of all—the one between a dog and their family. Adopt a country star today—because every great journey starts with a wagging tail and a little twang!   This litter is only an option for a home that has owned a dog in the last five years. If there are children they need to be over the age of 5.  March 5, 2025, 11:29 am
