Looking for some sweet sweet love for the holidays!!! These adorable pups are tiny but feisty. What they lack in size they sure make up for in personality. They were named after our Memphis Grizzlies players and are a favorite of their foster mom and Facebook page. All of them are super friendly get along beautifully with other dogs and all people. They are fostering in a home in Memphis, TN where they are learning all kinds of socialization skills need to make the perfect pocket pet. If you’re ready to give one of these pups a lifetime of belly rubs, treats, and a cozy bed, please reach out! The minute we heard this handsome girl's name, we thought right away of Robin Hood. Remember him? He robbed the rich to feed the poor. Well, Loxley is where he lived in England. (Interestingly it's also the name of a city in Alabama.) Our Loxley, a girl, lives with her foster right now; a Chiweenie mix, she's 2 to 3 years old and weighs just 18 pounds. She sports a short coat of black and tan, and is oh, so pretty! She does well with other dogs, kids and her foster's cat, too. This fine girl will give you the riches of a great addition to your family. You might even be tempted to call her Robin Hood! (posted 12/4/24, TN) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Meet sisters Nebula and Solstice! They are 4-month-old Dachshund and Terrier mixes. They now weigh around 7 pounds, but we expect them to mature to around 10-15 pounds. These pups both sport a short black and white coat. Nebula and Solstice are very sweet and get along wonderfully with other dogs. They are the best of both worlds! This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is. Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy. She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance. Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old. She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told. Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl. Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her. We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning. She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them. She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily. Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say. She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE! This adorable girl definitely has a before and after story and Critter Cavalry is so excited to be part of a great future and a change in her life. Her name is Gidget and she's a 2-year-old 34 lb Doodle mix girl that was running as a stray for some time in a very rural County of Tennessee. She was finally caught and trembled as she sat in her kennel run at the small shelter. They knew she would never improve if she stayed in that kennel waiting for someone to find her so a kind groomer with a rescue heart was notified. This girl was an emergency emotionally and physically and needed to get her cleaned up and shaved down and leave the shelter. Soon, she was smiling and feeling like a new dog! The before and after pictures are amazing aren't they? She has a lot of energy and would do best with a dog that can hold his own with her. She is going to be a victory story of redemption. Her mom took them while she was supposed to find another place to live but that did not happen. Her mom had 3 dogs of her own and was overwhelmed so she asked for help. All the dogs are sweet but we took Arlo and Lainey. These two are quite bonded so we are going to try to place them together. They are both spay/neutered, UTD on vaccines and HW negative, They will also be microchipped. In their original home, they were left on a self feeder and I am afraid Arlo overindulged. He needs a home where they will go for walks and watch their diets. but he is so so sweet and cute! Loves cuddles and kisses! They both seem to be reliably housetrained.
