Story
Welcome Bristol to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Bristol is a 1.5-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mixed dog. She is a small girl at about 7 pounds. She is a little under weight and her fosters will giving her good nutrition. She just had a litter of pups and we are posting them now. Bristol will be spayed soon and will be able to be the center of her family’s life soon. We could not be happier for Bristol. She is very sweet. She is learning the leash, doggie door, crate, car rides and working on potty training. The fosters believe she may have lived outside in her first home in life. She deserves to be a part of the family and get showered with love. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to her small size. She is going to be loyal to her person and usually they pick one to be their person. She likes to be held and sit in your lap. She isn’t too energetic and a small condo sized yard would be sufficient. If she goes to a colder climate she would need a good coat as she was cold today in Texas and it was only 70 degrees. She is good with cats and lives with a large dog. She is a wonderful mother dog and will make a wonderful family companion. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200 if she is transported with the local transporter. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Are you her new family?  Please fill out our adoption application at:http://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24721/generic Over the past almost 2 years the numbers of local surrenders has skyrocketed. For example, Marley and her Puppy from last summer were both local surrenders. Both needed to be fully vetted, spayed/neutered, and cared for before going to their forever homes. People like us open our homes for them, but the rescue provides their food and crates and anything else they need. The expenses add up. Adoption fees don’t begin to cover the costs for some of these dogs. We do our part by providing a loving temporary home, socializing the dogs, getting to know their behaviors, etc. (by the way, we do it voluntarily, w no compensation). But we do see the money spent on all these dogs before they can even meet their potential family. So for all my animal loving friends out there…if you could be so kind, and make a donation, $5, $10 (or more) to help raise funds for Survivors Paws Animal Rescue Inc so they can continue to feed, treat, and adopt out these beautiful dogs, We would greatly appreciate it!  There are many more dogs waiting for their turn to be adopted. Over average it costs Survivor's Paws between $900.00 to $1.200.00 on average to save local dogs.  Spay and neuter clinics for dogs in the Upper Valley are slim and booking out months down the road.  We can't keep a dog in foster for 6 to 9 months waiting for a spay/neuter clinic to have space so we have to use our local vets.  Our adoption fees do not even cover our bet bills. Please SHARE,  donate, foster, volunteer and adopt.   Please fill out our adoption application at:http://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24721/generic Please DO NOT call to see if our dogs are still available.   We require our application be filled out before we answer any questions.  Please call your veterinarian's office to grant permission for Survivor's Paws Animal Rescue to speak with them. Adopt local. We are a local White River Jct., VT, NH and Connecticut rescue. When you adopt from Survivor's Paws....you become part of Survivor's Paws family. A Survivor's Paws representative will meet you with your puppy or dog on the day of transport. We help you proper introductions with other fur members of your household. We offer love, support, advise and training throughout your puppy/dog lives. Become part of Survivor's Paws family and adopt from Survivor's Paws Animal Rescue. You must be 21 in order to adopt from us. Please fill out the application on a computer, not a cell phone. We do NOT guarantee that you will get approved to adopt from us. We will be in contact with you as soon as we are ready to begin to process your application usually within 48 to 72 hours. The whole process can take a week or longer depending on how many applications we receive. Please understand we are volunteers, we work, have families and holidays on top of volunteering to save dogs on days off, evenings, and weekends. We do NOT adopt to Massachusetts, Rhode Island at this time. All potential adopters with dogs must have them up to date on vaccinations, altered, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. ##2178095##

Story
Hotdog came to us when the person he`d spent his entire life with lost their home, and could not find anywhere to live, especially with multiple pets. Hotdog arrived with two other dogs, and was adopted into a loving home with littermate Tickles. Unfortunately, as sometimes happens with littermates who have been together their entire lives, these two have decided that 14 years with their sibling is plenty long enough! So they are back with us, hanging out in separate condos this time, and we are looking for homes for them individually. Hotdog is a friendly and cheerful dog, and quite active in our fenced-in yards, despite his age. Keeping him active is important for his on-going need to get to a healthier weight. In the past, Hotdog lived with other dogs, cats, children, and even farm animals, but maybe he`s now wishing to spend his golden years getting all the attention for himself. We can talk about whether other animals in the home would be a match for him. When you adopt an elder pet, you are truly doing it for them, to focus on their needs: medical, physical, and emotional. The love and devotion you get back may be a brief time, but it`s absolutely priceless. If you are looking for a real character to add to your life, who will give you plenty of laughs and love, Hotdog could be just what you are looking for! Could you be the next loving home in his journey? The adoption fee for Hotdog is $100, and if his new person would like to take a Good Manners training course, that will be available at our discounted fee of $100. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about Hotdog, and to determine if you should meet him.
