Story
Pinky is a 2-year-old dachshund mix with the cutest combination of spots, floppy ears, and short little legs. While we’re not sure what she’s mixed with, whatever it is gave her a slightly bigger build than a typical dachshund—she weighs about 28 pounds and is the perfect small-to-medium size. Pinky is an easygoing, low-key girl who is just as happy lounging on a dog bed as she is soaking up the sun outside. She has a calm, content personality and doesn’t require constant activity to be satisfied. She does well with dogs of all sizes and would fit nicely into a home with other respectful canine companions. She is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is generally very well-mannered. Pinky is fearful of small children, so she will need a home without young kids where she can feel safe and comfortable. Pinky is a sweet, gentle girl looking for a relaxed home that will appreciate her quiet nature and give her the stability she deserves. Story
Meet Milo At just five months old and 15 pounds, Milo is the perfect little pocket-sized sidekick with a heart much bigger than his tiny frame. This dachshund mix is what we lovingly call a “Velcro boy” because wherever you go, he goes. Kitchen? He’s supervising. Couch? He’s curled up beside you. Car ride? He’s already mentally packed his snacks.   Milo is incredibly loving and thrives on being close to his people. After a fun play session, he’ll happily melt into your lap like he’s been yours forever. But don’t let his snuggly nature fool you. This little guy can wrestle with the best of them. He gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and absolutely loves a good tumble, chase, and playful romp.   Curious, friendly, and eager to explore the world, Milo is soaking up new experiences like the bright young pup he is. He rides great in the car, is doing well with his leash skills, and is at the perfect age for continued training and socialization. With guidance and love, he’s going to grow into an exceptional lifelong companion.   If you’re looking for a loyal shadow who will love you fiercely, play hard, and snuggle even harder, Milo might just be your perfect match.   Apply to adopt Milo here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/13108/generic ##2648221##

Story
Franklin is a Dachshund/Terrier mix that’s about 3 years old and weighs 24lbs. He was found living on the streets as a stray and is learning quickly how great it is to live in a house! Franklin is good with other dogs, but he`s a bit wary of humans at first. He warms up to women right away, but takes his time getting to know men. Once he trusts you though, you`ve got a friend for life. Franklin will follow you anywhere and everywhere!Franklin is a very loving boy and is working hard on all his training so that he can be the best dog he can be. His biggest goals right now are to finish his potty training (he`s so close!) and to learn to stay calm and relaxed in his kennel. He’s full of life and a little silly, so after working on his training he loves playing, belly rubs, and snuggles.Franklin had a rough start to life but that hasn’t stopped him from being a wonderful, faithful companion. To help him continue living the good life in a loving home, please apply to adopt him today at www.pawsinthecity.org

Story
Say, â&#194&#128&#194&#156Hello,â&#194&#128&#194&#157 to the great Reubeano!â&#194&#128&#194&#157 His real name is Reuben, but also goes by Reubeano, Beano and Bean :) He is an 8 month old (as of March) miniature dachshund (chocolate & tan) who is 15 lbs. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s adventurous, loves the outdoors and being with his family. He has a stout, strong and robust body which leads me to believe heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d do great on a ranch or property! Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a confident guy. In September our family bought a purebred male littermate pair from a reputable breeder. We went in with the intention of purchasing one puppy and ended up with both as they were the cutest boys and couldnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t split them up! Reuben is a fun loving, happy puppy who loves to play wrestle with his brother outside and go on walks with the rest of our pack. He gets along with other dogs and currently lives with his littermate, our three year old female black lab mix, and our 10 year old male chocolate lab. He loves to play chase with his brother and our female dog. They do well together. The older lab can get in the mix sometimes but he tends to stay out of the mix. He does exhibit resource guarding with high value treats such as bones, but we isolate him and the others when those treats are available and monitored. But because of this I do believe heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s better suited in a home with older / grown kids and or with one single well trained older dog. Overall, Reuben is a great little dog with big personality. He deserves more 1:1 time with an owner to train him and help him more with his behavioral issues. I'm a stay at home mom so he is used to having someone home most of the day and Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll be looking for that with his new family. He is fully crate and potty trained.
