Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org Bonded with Holly Bea - Bonded pairDouble Dapple Chip may be blind and mostly deaf, but with his absolutely precious “seeing eye” sister, Holly (also a double dapple) there to help him, he’s close to perfect!  these two are friendly, gentle, loving, kissy, and soak up the attention.  One would have a hard time realizing he’s vision impaired as he easily discovered his “space” and can go in and out the dog door just perfectly fine.  If you have a smaller yard, and a dog door, he’ll easily learn how to maneuver and Holly will help him (and you!) immensely. they are as loving as they are gorgeous!  Please consider offering these two a place in your home for the rest of their days so that they can live life with comfort, security, and lots of snuggles.  Chip is 13 years old. Chip and Holly are a bonded pair, thus they need to be adopted together!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org Maya Butterscotch is a spunky, happy, friendly little dachshund basset mix.  She loves meeting new people and making new dog friends.  She even has a kitten foster sister that she will cuddle up with.  She loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, and chase.  She's a very good companion to watch tv with, play video games with, or to read a book with. Maya is a special needs little girl.  She was paralyzed from an accident when she was only a few months old.  But that doesn't stop her from running around, she just uses her front legs instead of all four!  She has even been known to race in local dachshund races! Maya will be getting an upgraded 4-wheel cart to help her get around.  She uses diapers and will need help expressing her bladder but she doesn't fuss about it and knows the routine. Maya is looking for a home that understands her special circumstances.  She loves to play and having a playmate would be wonderful, but she is also good at being a single dog.  She loves humans of all ages!  If you are looking for a sweet cuddle bug, put in your application today!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org     PLEASE NOTE:  Bella gained 8 pounds since she was adopted and came back to DDRTX.  The first 5 pictures are what she looked like in October 2023. So far she has lost some weight and has much more energy!   Bella is a 11-year-old Chiweenie with a sweet disposition and a huge heart. She has no problem with strangers, large or small breed dogs and even maintenance workers that are doing work, etc. Bella really is no problem as long as she in in her diaper (and suspenders to keep it on) indefinitely. She has been checked medically for diabetes, Cushing’s, kidney and bladder issues, and had extensive bloodwork… Medically, there is nothing wrong with her, but we can only assume that neurologically she does not understand how to hold her bowel movements because the first 5+ years of her life she lived in an apartment and never went out to potty. The diapers do not bother her and they do not impair her ability to get around easily.  If you are interested in an older, sweet girl…and don’t mind a few daily diaper changes… please consider adopting Miss Bella Hope!                 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Weighing in at a solid 12 pounds, I've got an underbite that even Popeye would envy and an Elvis swagger that's sure to make you swoon. I'm getting the hang of this whole kennel thing and will sleep through the night once you convince me it's bedtime. When it comes to potty time, I'm on it! Sofa snuggles? Oh yeah, that's my specialty. I get along great with both big and small dogs, and I go absolutely bonkers for squeaky toys and playing fetch. I love riding in cars. I would make a good travel buddy. So, if you're looking for a charming little character to add some joy to your life, look no further. I'm Dougal, and I'm ready to be your best buddy." Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org Hi there!  I am Peaches Amber and I am a sweetheart senior lady.  I just got to my new foster home mid June and I am happy to be here.  I got a lovely bath, my ears cleaned, and my nails clipped so I am feeling very pretty now.  My foster parents are very nice but a bit rude when they tell me I need to lose some weight.  I consider myself a full-figured, mature lady so a little fluff should be OK in my book.  But since they control the food, I guess I won't have much choice in the matter. Its nice and quiet here although it doesn't matter much because I don't hear very well.  And the nice lady doctor I saw the other day said I have some kind of cat rack in one eye.  How the heck does that happen???  I don't mind cats but I don't think I have one in my eye.  Anyway, I guess that explains why I don't see so good anymore.  And she said there was something in my other eye but I didn't understand that either.  Something about it doesn't dilate so I don't see so good in the dark.  Geez, lady, give me a break!  But they poked me and got some blood and said it was good so I will cut her some slack. So I am enjoying the ramp that goes right up to the couch so I can snooze most of the day away in comfort.  Pretty cushy gig right now.  Eat a little, snooze a few hours, go to the door, go outside and take care of business, then snooze some more, eat a little, snooze, well you get the idea.  I do like to get attention with some lap-time and belly rubs.  So if you are interested in a very laid-back, low-energy, mature, happy lady, look no further.  I am right here!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
