Story
These dogs are about 2 years old and trained off leash. They are twins, Dallas and Bucho. I was supposed to “watch” them for 2 weeks and they were abandoned at my house by a 17 year old kid who later explained his family was abusing them and he saw how I treated my dogs and knew they would be better off here. I am moving and can not take them with me sadly as I love these dogs. My goal is to have them adopted together as they have always had each other through many homes and I don’t think it would be good to tear them apart. No fee but I did promise the kid I would make sure they found a loving home. I’ve tried many places but no luck. It’s a shame as these are excellent dogs. Anything you would like to know you can reach out to me and I can send videos of them listening to my commands, interacting with cats, and not chasing stray dogs purely by voice command to turn around, while they are off leash.

Story
Snoopy is my emotional support animal and my world. We are very close and I want nothing but the absolute best for him. Since he is around 12 years old he has some physical needs that need to be looked at and I am surviving on disability alone. I am finding that as much as I would want to be able to provide for him, I'm finding that he has needs beyond what I can do. I thought I would see if anyone locally has a heart for a loving senior dog that deserves all the chance this world has to offer. It's time after all of these years of supporting me, that I do what he needs even if that breaks my heart. If anyone is interested in giving this sweetheart the care he needs, vet visits and a fighting chance please let me know. Thank you.

Story
🐾 Meet Lucy Marie – The Perfect Pocket-Sized Companion! 🐾   Lucy Marie is a 12-year-old dachshund with a teeny body but a *huge* personality! This sweet senior lady’s journey began when she was pulled from a local shelter, and now she’s ready to find her forever home.   Lucy’s hearing isn’t what it used to be—don’t bother hollering her name, but stomp your feet, and she’ll come running (or at least look your way!). She also perks up at the sound of a dog whistle, though she hilariously looks everywhere but the source.   When it comes to self-care, Lucy is pretty chill about baths in the sink, but nail trims? Well, those are a work in progress—we’re taking it one paw at a time!   Lucy Marie is happiest when she’s close to her person—she’s the definition of a Velcro dog. She’s a cuddle bug who loves to nap on pillows (and will unapologetically claim yours as her own). Her favorite activities include leisurely walks, sniffing out treasures in the backyard, and engaging in a game of keep-away that’s sure to make you smile.   She does have a touch of “grouchy old lady” charm. Lucy isn’t a fan of sharing her high-value treasures and will give a little growl before setting boundaries. Because of this, a quiet, kid-free home would be the best fit for her.   Fully vetted and ready for her next chapter, Lucy is on the lookout for a calm, loving home where she can spend her golden years as the cherished queen she was born to be. If you’re ready to give this sassy senior a lap to call her own, she’ll reward you with endless devotion and snuggles.   Ready to meet Lucy Marie? Apply today and give her the loving home she deserves!

Story
Meet Frijole, our sweet little 10-pound dachshund with a heart as big as her spirit. Frijole's early life was far from easy—she spent her days in a breeding facility in Oklahoma, making babies for a breeder who likely never gave her the love or care she deserved. She suffered from a skin allergy and never knew what it felt like to be cherished. But Frijole is one tough cookie, and she didn't let those early years define her. Instead, she blossomed into the calm, gentle, and sweet companion we know and love today. In early 2022, Frijole was rescued by North Texas Australian Shepherd Rescue, who gave her the second chance she so deserved. After spending time in a loving foster home, she was adopted by the sweetest lady, who adored dressing her up, showered her with love, and gave her all the snuggles. Tragically, Frijole's adoptive momma passed away unexpectedly this winter, and Frijole once again found herself looking for a new home. Though Frijole is back with us, she comes with some health concerns, including an enlarged heart. She's a bit slower these days, and while she's on medication, we don't know how much time she has left. But what we do know is that she deserves a HERO—a kind and compassionate soul who will give her the next best years of her life. Frijole is an adorable, velvety chocolate brown dachshund with a giant heart (literally and figuratively 😉). If you have the space, time, and love to offer this sweet girl, please consider making her part of your family. She’s ready to snuggle her way into your heart and fill your life with endless love. ❤
