One would have a hard time realizing he’s vision impaired as he easily discovered his “space” and can go in and out the dog door just perfectly fine. If you have a smaller yard, and a dog door, he’ll easily learn how to maneuver and Holly will help him (and you!) immensely. they are as loving as they are gorgeous! Please consider offering these two a place in your home for the rest of their days so that they can live life with comfort, security, and lots of snuggles. Chip is 13 years old. We think when she gives us the “stare” she’s just trying to hypnotize us to give her extra treats! She has the softest, quirkiest quack of a bark! She loves to burrow under ALL the blankets and occasionally serenades us with the cutest little snores during her beauty sleep. Bella does wear a diaper held up by suspenders because, let’s face it, her little bohiney is just too petite! After several vet visits and extensive bloodwork for diabetes, Cushing’s, and even kidney and bladder issues , there is nothing medically wrong with her. We suspect her potty-training issues are more neurological due to the fact her first 5+ years of her life she lived in an apartment and never went out to potty. But fear not, the diapers are easy to change, come in a lot of fun colors, and don’t bother her one bit! She zips around like a champ! Please consider giving this precious little girl a home. Lola is rather fearful of new people, but in less than 24 hours warmed up to her foster entirely and now wants to spend every second as close to her as possible! Lola loves food and chewing on bones, but her favorite activity is laying in your lap, under a blanket &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Lola knows how to use the dog door, is crate trained, and usually goes potty outside (training is a process! Plus cold, rainy weather is unpleasant). She doesn’t mind car rides, walks well on leash, and looks darn cute in a sweater! Lola gets along well with other small dogs (hasn’t met big dogs yet), but also gets protective over her person and spaces, so she may do better as an only dog or with a family willing to train and work on boundaries. Lola Noel wants a family for Christmas who will be patient when getting to know her, then give her all their love when the time is right! He needs a home with at least one active dog who will play with him. He also needs a yard as he loves to spend time outside, especially sunning himself. Goose is on medication every eight hours for seizures. His forever family will need to commit to his strict medication schedule and follow up appointments with a neurologist. Goose sleeps well in the big bed with his people or in his own bed. He loves going for walks but is still learning how to walk calmly. He loves people and other dogs but he hasn't been around cats. He is great in the car in his booster seat. Goose knows how to use the doggy door but has recently discovered the power of marking so he's been wearing a belly band. She swears she was only there because she thought she could find some juvenile turtles who would share their pizza but was grateful to be rescued like in those Hallmark movies. It is impossible to meet Jenny and not instantly fall in love with her. She fits the mold of a Dachshund to the “D” at the beginning and end. Jenny has sass, courage, and makes a situation hers. She is also loyal, affectionate, and loves to share your space. Jenny also loves her foster siblings and other short dogs she meets. She has come a long way. Her skin is healed from the infection, although she may have some scaring from how bad it was. Her eyes are doing so much better. She will need eye meds the rest of her life to help keep them as healthy as can be. Making sure she gets her eye meds as prescribed is so important to help save her eyes. Please only consider her for adoption if you are willing to give eye meds the rest of her life! Jenny wants to continue her fairy tail life with you, so fill out that adoption form! Meet Mitzi Meet sweet Mitzi! Mitzi is a sweet and tenderhearted dog who is about 2 years old and weighs 16 pounds. We rescued her from a shelter near the border of Mexico. She does have a warm-up period when meeting new people. Once she knows you will be kind to her, she loves to get attention and affection. Coming from the environment she was in previously, it is apparent that she wasn’t handled very much so she just needs time to trust and know that she is in a safe space. She gets along well with the other dogs at the rescue. She would do best in a calm and patient home without small children where she can acclimate to her new surroundings and learn to trust. She is a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call her own! Mitzi is at our rescue near San Antonio and a meet and greet can be arranged with an approved application. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. Meet Bilbo Baggins Bilbo Baggins is about 2 years old, weighs 13 pounds and is a happy, playful dog! He is very sweet, friendly and as you can see in the video, enjoys exploring and playing. He was rescued from a shelter near the border of Mexico. Bilbo has the nicest temperament, and does great with other dogs! Poor darling came in so skinny, and malnourished, it was obvious he was left on the streets to fend for himself. What a shame for such a nice happy boy! He is the cutest little low rider. We can see Bilbo doing well in a home where he can get lots of attention and playtime with his family. He is curious and also enjoys being held. He has a fun personality and is very smart. He enjoys playing with his toys and other dogs here at the shelter. He is just a fun-loving pup who can’t wait to find a home of his own! He would be a wonderful, loyal companion to grow up in just about any family environment. Bilbo is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped and his adoption fee is $325.
