Story
Maggie Mae is a sweet little girl who likes to cuddle. She's potty trained and crate trained. She knows "sit". She's shy around new people but tends to warm up quickly. She does well with other dogs with slow proper introductions. She's been living with several other dogs of all sizes. A low key home with older or no children would suit her best. Maggie has spent many months in foster care after she was found abandoned under a church in Cypress. She had to be humanly trapped and learn to trust humans again. She's come so far in her foster home and want to find her the perfect forever home. Maggie is around 3 years old, 31lbs, up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. To apply for Maggie please fill out the adoption application at Bigloverescue.org

Story
Meet Peanut, a lively puppy with a heart full of affection. This playful little guy is the epitome of joy, his bubbly personality brightening up even the gloomiest of days. Peanut`s barks echo through the shelter, a sweet symphony of his excitement and desire for companionship. He`s got a knack for begging, his puppy dog eyes hard to resist. Cuddling is a favorite pastime; he`s always ready to snuggle up and share some warmth. Despite his loveable nature, Peanut is in need of training. House training and leash training are new to this 11 pounder. He already knows the sit command and if he runs away while off leash, he`ll come back if you call him. His excitable nature can sometimes get the best of him, but with the right guidance, he`s sure to become a well-behaved companion. Peanut`s affectionate demeanor and playful spirit make him the perfect addition to any family. He likes running, tugging, chase, and wrestling. He is friendly and playful with other dogs but still thinks he is supposed to bark at them. Peanut`s jumpy enthusiasm around children is a sight to behold, turning any day into a delightful playdate. He was given up because of his owner`s family change. His constant excitement and love for life are infectious, promising a home filled with laughter, love, and endless puppy kisses. Adopt Peanut and let his love fill your home with joy. (tw 3/4/2025)

Story
Meet Brandy, a young, vibrant soul with an undeniable zest for life. Brandy`s energy is infectious, always ready for a game or a new adventure. She`s got a curious spirit that loves to explore and discover new things. Yet, she`s also a bit shy, adding a sweet charm to her personality. Her alertness is a testament to her intelligence, quickly picking up tricks especially when food is involved. She knows the sit command but if you don`t deliver the treat fast enough she might try to help herself. Brandy can be a bit skittish, but with time, she grows confident and comfortable. Her cuddly nature makes her a perfect companion for cozy nights in, and she`s always ready to give kisses to show her affection. She enjoys using her 25-pound body to lead you while she`s leashed and she seems to know a bit about house training. She was found hanging out with another dog and seems intrigued by her shelter neighbors. We haven`t seen her interact with dogs or children yet. Adopting Brandy means gaining a loving, playful, and loyal friend who will always be there to brighten your day with her delightful antics and endless love. (tw 3/3/2025) Brandy is eligible for CAP`s Foster to Adopt program due to some medical needs. Please ask a CAP staff member about the program.

Story
Meet Dexter Morgan, a distinguished 12-year-old, 22-pound wire-haired Dachshund who was rescued just in time from another shelter. Now, this charming gentleman is ready to find his perfect forever home. Don’t let his age fool you—Dexter is full of spunk and energy! He loves playing in the yard with his favorite toy and brings a big personality wherever he goes. Dexter does tend to resource guard his possessions, including his favorite human and toy. Due to this behavior, he would do best in a single-dog, adult only home with just one owner, where he can feel secure and relaxed. While Dexter isn’t comfortable around kids or other dogs, he makes up for it with his loyal, playful, and loving nature. He’s looking for a special person who will appreciate his quirks and provide him with the care and attention he deserves in his golden years. If you’re seeking a fun, devoted companion to share your life with, Dexter could be your perfect match! Adoption fee is: $300 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable.
