Story
Rocko was born to our dogs, Ruby & Rocky. His father was killed before the puppies were born so we had a hard time parting with them. Our grandchildren wanted the puppies and we kept thinking their parents would allow the kids to have them. They didn’t. Another reason we are having to rehome him is because my mother has dementia and is scared of him even though he is a very loving dog. Rocko is very loyal and protective. He is the absolute best guard dog. He may be small but when he barks from inside the house, he sounds like a Doberman Pincher. He is cautious of anyone at first but warms up quickly. He is very loving and will break his neck to “kiss” you. He doesn’t mean to be aggressive, but this is why my mom is scared of him. It’s impossible to be in a bad mood with him around though. He sleeps at our feet but sometimes will climb up and cuddle next to you if you seem to be upset.

Story
Maddie is a little short legged dachshund mix. We think she is about three years old and weighs 12 lbs. Maddie is super friendly and affectionate with people. She does not seem to like other dogs. She also did not do well in a home with small children. She is heartworm negative and spayed. Maddie would be a great fit for someone who wants just one great dog companion in the house. Her adoption fee is $200 After reading this pet's info, if you are still interested in adopting, please fill out the online adoption application found at realgooddogrescue.com The ideal home for this Real Good Dog will have a secure fenced yard.
