Story
Meet Braylee! This girl has some of the prettiest eyes! Braylee was surrendered to rescue because they didn’t have a fence and unfortunately the kids in the home were letting her get out without a leash on. The owner was afraid she would eventually be hit by a car, so she was wanting a safe place for her to go. She is a very sweet girl. She is a bit shy in the beginning, so she will need some time to adjust. Braylee is a chihuahua/dachshund mix according to her previous owner. She is a year old and weighs 18 pounds. She has lived with kids, but kids over the age of 8 would probably be best for her. A secure fence and another dog friend in the home is required. She is good in the house as long as she has plenty of potty breaks. However, always expect accidents until she settles in. She will be spayed, updated on all shots, microchipped, and heartworm tested on 3-25-25. If she is heartworm free, she will be available for adoption afterwards. The adoption fee is $300 to an approved and loving home. All vet records will be given to the adopter(s) at the time of adoption. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. We do keep our website and Petfinder updated regularly. Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply. Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!

Story
Nelson came to us from a hoarding case. There were 16 dogs in one house and the owner passed away. None of them had been socialized so we have been working with them for months. Nelson is coming along but still needs a lot of help getting socialized with people. He enjoys stiffing people but does not enjoy being picked up.

Story
Oscar came to us from a hoarding situation. There were 16 from the same house when the owner passed away. Oscar is a very fun boy who loves to run and play. He enjoys jumping up on the dog houses and running around. He climbs up on you and loves giving out all the kisses. He will need time to warm up to his new person.

Story
This is Cher. She is an approximately 1 yr old Dachshund from a property up near Cookeville. Her and all her siblings had been running loose, with very little human interaction. We have her Brother, Johnny and Sonny as well as her sister June, who we will post next. The boys have made great strides in learning to trust and interact with humans, and the girls have been making significant progress as well, but could still use more positive human time. needs to have a dog friend.  ##1945202##

Story
Great family dog!!! Bear is a Dachshund Shepherd mix. He is very gentle around people and loves to play with other dogs. Bear is one of those big dogs with short legs that are so incredibly cute. He is medium in size weighing around thirty-five pounds. And the big news is he is housetrained. We can test him with cats if needed. He will need a fenced yard.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.

Come meet Brownie, he's as sweet as his name implies. This adorable Dachshund mix, is a bit shy. He's settling in and opening up to the volunteers, enjoying their pets/rubs and attention. Playtime is a favorite time for him, loves the other dogs in his play group. Cats we aren't sure of, but an easy for us to check. Brownie is housetrained and ready to move in with his new family! A home with a fenced yard is always a plus. Great for exploring, playtime and just "chillin out".To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
