KENNEL ID #18804 Meet Sissy Sissy is a sweet, spayed female Dachshund, estimated to be around 9 years old—and she’s ready for a fresh start in a loving home. Her story is one you won’t forget. Sissy was brought into a tobacco store in a busy tourist area in Tennessee by a homeless man who was struggling to care for her. After asking an employee for a cigarette, he ran out of the store—leaving Sissy behind. When police located him, he admitted he could no longer care for her. They suggested she be taken to an already overcrowded shelter… but thankfully, that’s not where her story ended. The employee, Mary, knew Sissy deserved better. She reached out to rescue partners, and from there, Sissy got the second chance she so desperately needed. Sissy is now safe in a loving foster home in Pennsylvania (with Mary’s daughter!) where she’s being cared for and spoiled while she waits for her forever family. &#226&#156&#168 Spayed &#226&#156&#168 Up to date on all vaccines &#226&#156&#168 Recently had a much-needed dental &#226&#156&#168 Currently overweight and will benefit from a healthy diet and light exercise (her foster is already helping her slim down!) Lola is a 9 year old brindle Chihuahua Daschund mix. When we first got her we did not have any children for two years and she was treated as our only child. We now have two toddlers and a newborn and the added responsibility of a dog who needs more attention than we can give her now weighs on us daily. She is a high energy dog who would love to go on walks, She would prefer to be in a more quiet home with less chaos/anxiety inducing activity going on around her. She is very anxious when in a crowd or when new people are over and the unpredictable nature of kids seems to scare her. Ideally we will find her a loving home with no children or other pets. We have all of her vet records/receipts from over the years.
