Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Violet and her 5 siblings were dropped off at a humane league with their mom.  A shelter is no place for puppies.  They get sick and die.  Lucky for Violet and her little family one of the wonderful volunteers at the shelter reached out to us and well the rest is history :)Violet has been spay'd and is ready for her forever home.  She will NOT be an only dog.  There must be another young, smaller dog in the home for her to play with.  You MUST have a fenced yard.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!October 14, 2024, 6:08 pm

LUCKY IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    Lucky is his name, and he has EARNED it. This parvo survivor is a 5-6 month old mixed breed puppy. His mom was a dachshund, and his dad is a complete guess. He is only 20 lbs, and we don't expect him to get much bigger. He loves other dogs and children, but Lucky is afraid of cats. He is working on house breaking with a few accidents here and there, but he is currently training being taken out often and especially after eating. He will pick it up soon! He loves balls and toys. His favorite thing to do is get up in your lap and cuddle when he is tired.   Lucky is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, puppy shots as well as rabies shot. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Lucky up north after he is adopted.  To apply to adopt Lucky, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any Questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
Griffin is a 7 year old dachshund-lab mix. He loves giving licks and cuddles. We recently expanded our human family and are unable to give our fur baby the attention he deserves, so we’re looking to rehome him to someone who can give him his fill of cuddles. Griffin likes to sunbathe and take short walks. He’s very chill and relaxed.
