Story
Gwen is a great little puppy at around 5 months old. She is sister to Leia and is a little smaller but also likely to be a petite medium sized dog when fully grown. Gwen loves to be outside and is content with whatever she finds to play with. She really LOVES her stuffies! She collects them all up and hides them in her bed. The cutest thing! Gwen is great in her crate she hardly ever barks. She is crate trained and sleeps in there overnight quietly and with no mess. She is doing well with potty training and following the lead of her foster home dog pals. She loves having some dog friends around. Gwen is a happy, carefree little pup! She’s very sweet and loving and she does everything at 110 mph. If Gwen would be the perfect addition to your family please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 21, 2024, 9:40 pm

Story
The minute we heard this handsome girl's name, we thought right away of Robin Hood. Remember him? He robbed the rich to feed the poor. Well, Loxley is where he lived in England. (Interestingly it's also the name of a city in Alabama.) Our Loxley, a girl, lives with her foster right now; a Chiweenie mix, she's 2 to 3 years old and weighs just 18 pounds. She sports a short coat of black and tan, and is oh, so pretty! She does well with other dogs, kids and her foster's cat, too. This fine girl will give you the riches of a great addition to your family. You might even be tempted to call her Robin Hood! (posted 12/4/24, TN) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.December 4, 2024, 2:16 pm

Story
Meet sisters Nebula and Solstice! They are 4-month-old Dachshund and Terrier mixes. They now weigh around 7 pounds, but we expect them to mature to around 10-15 pounds. These pups both sport a short black and white coat. Nebula and Solstice are very sweet and get along wonderfully with other dogs. They are the best of both worlds! They love to play and explore new surroundings, but at the end of the day, their favorite thing to do is to cuddle up next to you. Nebula and Solstice both love being held like a baby on their back to nap and would give anything to be picked up to snuggle! Adopt one, or both of these (!) sweethearts, and let them fill your life with love and laughter! Story
Meet Trixie! Trixie is a 5yr old smoothcoat Dachshund with possibly a slight mix of another small breed. There’s also good reason to believe that she may not be a mix at all. Without genetic testing, Bubbas Station can’t be sure. We are sure that whatever she may be, she is an absolute darling, smart, & friendly dog just looking for a friend. Trixie spent the first several years of her life in the Lancaster puppy mills as a mill momma. The first 3-4 yrs of her life she was used as a puppy maker and milk machine. Once she stopped producing the way the “Man” wanted her to, she had to go. She then landed up for sale in a pet store. A woman bought her and took her home to her apartment where she spent the next 1-2 yrs. Trixie’s owner recently moveed and does not have accommodations for Trixie, once again leaving Trixie homeless. Bubbas Station learned about Trixie’s situation and was able to intervene, thus keeping her out of the Philly shelter. To say this pups life has been a sorted journey, is putting it mildly. As we’ve spent the last two weeks getting to know Trixie, her resilience is to be admired. She has been nothing but a joy to us and each of our volunteers. She is completely housebroken, doesn’t chew anything that was not given to her in the first place. In true Dachshund form, she has nothing but love bubbling over to share with a forever human or a forever family. Trixie being 5 to 6 years old, would be happiest in a calm home, where her humans would be around more often than not. Although we are certain that she would never harm a child, or anything at all, we feel that a home with small children would be too much for Trixie. Therefore, we are looking for a home without small children. Trixie loves all dogs! If you have a playful dog at home that you’ve been considering finding a friend for, Trixie may be a perfect addition! Trixie has shown us that she likes to have a lil privacy when she goes to the bathroom. While leashed just won’t work for her so a fenced yard is a must for her. They have been raised in the same household but unfortunately the owners can no longer care for them properly (they have other doggies). They have been very loved and cared for their whole lives. They are all house trained (except for the puppy, she just needs some consistency) and they’re all very happy, well-socialized dogs. They have been raised with children and would do wonderful with them. As you can see in the video the fosters young daughter is laying on the floor and all 4 come running to lick her all over. These 4 have been raised with other dogs and cats and have no issues with either! More information about the doggies coming soon – If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org
