The owner of Arlo, Lainey and 4 other akc registered doxies was living in a rental home with 4 children and the landlord said the dogs had to go. Her mom took them while she was supposed to find another place to live but that did not happen. Her mom had 3 dogs of her own and was overwhelmed so she asked for help. All the dogs are sweet but we took Arlo and Lainey. These two are quite bonded so we are going to try to place them together. They are both spay/neutered, UTD on vaccines and HW negative, They will also be microchipped. In their original home, they were left on a self feeder and I am afraid Arlo overindulged but Lainey was able to keep her figure. They are both so so sweet and cute! They both Love cuddles and kisses! They both seem to be reliably housetrained. Arlo is a red pie bald and Lainey is a black and tan wirehaired doxie. Lainey was born on 9/10/2021 so she is 3 years old, Arlo is 4. Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. This adorable girl definitely has a before and after story and Critter Cavalry is so excited to be part of a great future and a change in her life. Her name is Gidget and she's a 2-year-old 34 lb Doodle mix girl that was running as a stray for some time in a very rural County of Tennessee. She was finally caught and trembled as she sat in her kennel run at the small shelter. They knew she would never improve if she stayed in that kennel waiting for someone to find her so a kind groomer with a rescue heart was notified.  This girl was an emergency emotionally and physically and needed to get her cleaned up and shaved down and leave the shelter.  Soon, she was smiling and feeling like a new dog!  The before and after pictures are amazing aren't they?  She has a lot of energy and would do best with a dog that can hold his own with her.  She is going to be a victory  story of redemption. Meet Trixie! Trixie is a 5yr old smoothcoat Dachshund with possibly a slight mix of another small breed. There’s also good reason to believe that she may not be a mix at all. Without genetic testing, Bubbas Station can’t be sure. We are sure that whatever she may be, she is an absolute darling, smart, & friendly dog just looking for a friend. Trixie spent the first several years of her life in the Lancaster puppy mills as a mill momma.The first 3-4 yrs of her life she was used as a puppy maker and milk machine. Once she stopped producing the way the “Man” wanted her to, she had to go. She then landed up for sale in a pet store. A woman bought her and took her home to her apartment where she spent the next 1-2 yrs. Trixie’s owner recently moveed and does not have accommodations for Trixie, once again leaving Trixie homeless. Bubbas Station learned about Trixie’s situation and was able to intervene, thus keeping her out of the Philly shelter. To say this pups life has been a sorted journey, is putting it mildly. As we’ve spent the last two weeks getting to know Trixie, her resilience is to be admired. She has been nothing but a joy to us and each of our volunteers. She is completely housebroken, doesn’t chew anything that was not given to her in the first place. In true Dachshund form, she has nothing but love bubbling over to share with a forever human or a forever family. Trixie being 5 to 6 years old, would be happiest in a calm home, where her humans would be around more often than not. Although we are certain that she would never harm a child, or anything at all, we feel that a home with small children would be too much for Trixie. Therefore, we are looking for a home without small children. Trixie loves all dogs! If you have a playful dog at home that you’ve been considering finding a friend for, Trixie may be a perfect addition! Trixie has shown us that she likes to have a lil privacy when she goes to the bathroom. While leashed just won’t work for her so a fenced yard is a must for her. The minute we heard this handsome girl's name, we thought right away of Robin Hood. Remember him? He robbed the rich to feed the poor. Well, Loxley is where he lived in England. (Interestingly it's also the name of a city in Alabama.) Our Loxley, a girl, lives with her foster right now; a Chiweenie mix, she's 2 to 3 years old and weighs just 18 pounds. She sports a short coat of black and tan, and is oh, so pretty! She does well with other dogs, kids and her foster's cat, too. This fine girl will give you the riches of a great addition to your family. You might even be tempted to call her Robin Hood! (posted 12/4/24, TN) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. Meet sisters Nebula and Solstice! They are 4-month-old Dachshund and Terrier mixes. They now weigh around 7 pounds, but we expect them to mature to around 10-15 pounds.
