We adopted Ms Bojangles (Bobo) a little over 2 years ago. She had been a very pampered indoor dog and we lived on 30 acres with lots of animals. She loved the freedom. She is an incredibly happy, well adjusted dog who just wants a family who will snuggle and pet her. She loves to kayak, hike, go camping, chase squirrels and watch football. She has particularly pronounced (flipper) feet so we think she's part seal. 😀 although she prefers to be captain of the boat, to swimming. She is a magical dog and has been a source of so much joy! Unfortunately as she has matured she has become more possessive of our attention and has started attacking our first dog. She wants to be dominant and will be happiest in a home as the only pet. She gets along with other dogs on walks or at the park but needs to be the only dog in the home. Bobo will acclimate to a new home with the right people! She is almost 4.

Meet Naya! She is currently 14 weeks old, about 8 lbs, and we think she may be a Dachshund/ lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
