Story
Who is this gorgeous fluffball, you ask?? Meet Mike Wazowski! This adorable fluffy guy is 21 pounds— tiny!! He’s approx 1 year old and has the most unique look— like a miniature Border Collie mixed with some sort of small breed— we see a glimpse of possible Dachshund, but in rescue it's always a guess! This will make for a fun DNA reveal partyyy!! This dog is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this dog needs you! If you choose a dog from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Mike's video here: You just have to meet Mike once to know this little guy is something special. Of course you will see his one perfect eye and his other good-but-less-than-perfect eye, but it doesn't seem to slow this happy fellow down in the slightest. In fact, our Vet Techs think that Mike still has some vision out of his left eye, so it shows just how resilient and adaptable this impressive fluffy fellow truly is. And he's not just resilient - this gorgeous little guy is thriving! Mike is living his best doggo life, and enjoying it to the fullest. You can tell because he always seems to be wearing a joyful happy smile (with his tongue hanging out) and wagging his fluffy tail. Mike loves to meet new people and has little to no stranger danger - everyone has the potential to be his best buddy, lol. He is great around other dogs, respectfully approaching them to sniff and backing away quickly and redirecting if they show any aversion. Mike certainly seems highly attuned to everyone and everything around him - he's such an impressive little guy! Of course, we have to mention how incredibly soft and snuggly Mike is. You will find yourself petting and snuggling him whenever possible, and Mike is surely ok with all the love and affection you have to give him! He is gentle when taking treats and quick to offer kisses in return for your attention. Mike is already great on leash and would enjoy someone that could take him on walks to explore the world and meet new friends. This handsome boy promises to be your perfect (paw-fect) pal! Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. Story
Lawrence is a two-year-old Dachshund mix, and let me tell you, this Dapper, young man is an absolute gem. Right now, he’s rocking a little bit of a scruffy look while his fur grows back, but honestly, we think it just adds to his irresistible charm. And that smile? It's enough to brighten anyone's day! Not only is a Lawrence crate trained, but right now, his crate is his absolute favourite place to lounge. He loves curling up in there for a cozy nap, feeling safe and content. It’s his personal little retreat, and if you’re looking for a dog who’s happy to chill on his own in his space, Lawrence is your guy. When he’s not relaxing in his crate, he’s all about those walks—he’s the best walking buddy around, trotting happily by your side with a joyfully wagging Tail. Lawrence loves the company of small dogs and would do best in a home with a fellow canine friend, but he’s just as happy being your one-and-only, soaking up all the love and attention you can give. He’s low-maintenance, easygoing, and always ready for a cuddle or an adventure. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will brighten your days with his love and that adorable scruffy look, This Short king is the one for you! Mel is a 10-12 yr old chiweenie who has had the life! His owner passed and he has been with us since. He is a wonderful pup! He does not really love other dogs other than his bestie Wendy (also on our adoptable list). They have been together a long time but are not a bonded pair. Mel came to us with a rotten mouth, unneutered, and had not seen a vet in many years. Since he has been here, we have gotten his medical needs met! He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and has have a full mouth dental extraction so he now longer has any teeth. Don't let that get you down! He is a MUCH happier dog today because of it. If you are interested in him, please fill out our application and we will reach out! We are slow to respond due to how busy we remain, so please be patient with us! https://ipawditforward.org/adoptable-pets
