Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Thelma is the other half of the dynamic duo, Thelma & Louise! She is very much bonded to her sister Louise & relies on her for comfort & security . Where you find one, you will find the other! Thelma quickly bonds with her humans & insists on daily cuddles & pets. Like her sister Louise, Thelma is approximately 12 years old, around 19lbs & a sweet princess. She is working on getting her girlish figure back. She is a dachshund/terrier mix that gets along well with other dogs & is curious about cats. She walks on a leash with the occasional reminder to enjoy the scenery along the way & not rush to the finish line. If you are looking for a furry shadow, Thelma is your gal. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

I was locked in a kennel for the first 2 yrs of my life and had no social skills or human contact. I am VERY sweet but can be shy at the beginning. I just want someone to love and who loves me. I found myself at a local shelter only days away from giving birth. The kind ladies there reached out to CARE who took me in. I gave birth to seven beautiful babies who are all finding their forever homes. I was told by my foster parents and the sweetest and most loving little Foster doggie and I was a good mother. I’m so happy for my kids finding homes but now I hope it’s my turn to find a forever family. I get along with other doggies, and I get along with all the other dogs that I have met.
