Story
Hi there, my name is Cody, and I’m a 12-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix weighing about 13 pounds. I may be a senior gentleman, but I’ve still got plenty of personality and a lot of love to give the right person. I spend most of my day relaxing inside the house where I can wander around freely and keep an eye on things. I sleep on my own cozy bed in my human’s bedroom. I’m house trained, leash trained, and I walk nicely on a loose leash—though I might bark or lunge a little when I see new people or dogs. Once I get to know someone, I warm up just fine. I just prefer to take introductions at my own pace. My favorite thing in the whole world is going for walks. I get excited to explore and sniff around the neighborhood. After a good walk, I’m happy to come home, nap, and enjoy a calm, peaceful day. I also enjoy spending time near my person—I’m a loyal little companion. Because I’m getting older, I’ve learned that I really prefer peace and quiet. Living with young children has been stressful for me, and I’ve started giving warning growls when I feel overwhelmed. My family loves me very much and wants what’s best for everyone, so they’re helping me find a child-free home where I can feel relaxed and safe. I do best with people who understand that I need a little space around my food and time to get comfortable with strangers. I’m friendly or politely aloof with other dogs, but I do enjoy chasing cats, so a cat-free home would probably be best. My perfect home would be quiet, calm, and child-free, with someone who enjoys daily walks and doesn’t mind a loyal little shadow nearby. If you’re looking for a sweet senior who appreciates the simple things—walks, naps, and companionship—I might just be your guy.

Story
Bert was found on 3/18/2026 at 12th & Centennial in Springfield. He came into the shelter already neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Hi! My name is Duke. I was found abandoned, along with my sister, and taken to a high kill shelter in Fresno, CA. I am safe now with my rescue in Oregon. I’m estimated to be 8 weeks old and I weigh approximately 5lbs. I’m up to date on my puppy vaccines and have been microchipped. I am a super sweet little boy. I am playful, gentle and love everyone. I’m told I have a cute, quirky little personality too. I love my toys and I also love being held by my human. I’m cuddly and also playful. I’m an outgoing pup! I am doing really well on my crate training, along with learning to use my potty pads for potty. I sleep good through the night and adjust well to a schedule. I’m very treat motivated so I’m said to be easy to train. I get along really good with cats and other dogs. If you are interested in adopting me, please go directly to my rescues website at savingonepawatatimerescue.org to complete my adoption application. I look forward to meeting you! Love, Duke

If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out the application at www.woodscreekrescue.com. Filling out the application is not a commitment to an adoption and needs to be done prior to any further questions you might have or information you are seeking. Our Process is the following: 1. Fill out an application 2. Once the application is approved, you will be called or emailed about setting up a day and time to meet me. 3. After a "Meet and Greet" then a decision for both the rescue and you will determine if this is a good match. After this is determined, we will schedule a home check which can be the day of adoption depending on how things go. Want to see more of me? Check us out on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.
