Story
(11/21/2023)   “Ladies meet Gregory! He is a gentleman and sweet on the ladies. He prefers a home where he is the man of the house and there are no male care takers. He is easy going and will be your best friend. Gregory is a young chihuahua/ dachshund mix who enjoys cuddling and play time. He is great with other dogs so a dog sibling would be a great companion! Please do be patient with him as he adjust to the new environment, he’s a fast learner and just needs a little bit of encouragement. Gregory is also great with kids!!! As part of Gregory’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Gregory, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2065558##

Story
HI-I need to re-home my puppy Sam. He is 9 months old. He is good with other dogs, but he is not good with cats. He is potty trained, he does need to go out often since he is still a puppy. I need to re-home him because I have a 5 yr old with special needs and he is too much for her. He does like to chill and lounge with his people, but he has alot of energy and needs to be walked or let outside often to play. He is a daschund/feist mix. I do have an appt to get him fixed, but its not until September at the spay and neuter clinic. I can always transfer that over to an adopter.

Story
Hi there! My name is Daisy. I’m a down to earth and spunky gal looking for my forever home! I loveee playing with toys and running around, but am also quite the cuddle bug! I'm great with kids, dogs, cats, and people. I'm a little shy at first but once I get to know you, I'll follow you anywhere!! Are you interested in adopting Daisy or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be sent via email to help@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524, or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center). We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application for Daisy. Thanks for thinking adoption!

Story
I purchased Peanut in 2019 from a breeder in Georgia. I am retired and I’m his only owner. Since 2020 I have been residing in a small apartment. He has been house trained to the pad, but can also go outside. He is a miniature dachshund, not more than 11 pounds. With the long bodies, stairs are not good for them to navigate. He is a sweet little dog and very protective of his owner. He is afraid of thunder, but adjusts when back in his cage. Every six months he receives checkups, shots, etc. I have all his records and you are welcome to his cage, carriers and beds, etc.
