Story
*** AVAILABLE ONSITE ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OR BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - email adoptions@savinggracenc.org to schedule *** Meet Willow, a sweet and spirited dog with a heart full of love. Willow does not seem to be able to hear and also has bilateral microphthalmia, which affects her vision as she is likely only able to discern areas of light or dark. With that being said, this little dachshund mix is able to navigate her world just fine - she eats well, loves treats, likes to ride in the car, can go up and down stairs unassisted, and enjoys chewing on bones without bothering the furniture. Willow is doing well on her housetraining and prefers the freedom to run loose in a securely fenced yard. She manages short leash walks. While in her foster home, she managed well with five dogs of various ages and sizes, but she would probably thrive best as the only dog or with a companion of a similar size. Willow is a relatively quiet gal, but likes to use her voice when playing with other dogs or if she needs your attention. Because she is not highly visual and cannot hear, Willow can be a little toy- and food-possessive at times, and would probably do best in an adult-only home. Willow does well entertaining herself with her toys and afterwards she is ready to snuggle. This gal is hoping for a patient and understanding adopter, as she is truly a sweet dog who is ready to shower her new family with affection and joy!

Story
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Wiley! Unlike the coyote, I can relate to dynamite because although I maybe small, I leave a big impression, need to be handled with care, and I like to get down to business! As you hoomans like to say, dynamite comes in a small package! First of all, I have an existing back injury and do not have the use of my back legs, but I have my own set of wheels and am very comfortable using them to go on walks. Second, I need a home without children due to my demeanor, size, and before mentioned injury. Third, my big personality sometimes is me over compensating for being a little nervous. I do best with slow introduction. My love language is ball! I am currently between houses but temporarily I reside with 2 dogs and an ornery cat. I am looking for a permanent home that will advocate for me and take it slow if there are other creatures in the home. I would be an amazing only pet! I am pretty low energy and am really just looking for understanding and companionship. What do you say? ##1944910##

Story
HI-I need to re-home my puppy Sam. He is 7 months old. He is good with other dogs, but he is not good with cats. He is potty trained, he does need to go out often since he is still a puppy. He is a barker. I need to re-home him because I have a 5 yr old with special needs and he is too much for her. He does like to chill and lounge with his people, but he has alot of energy and needs to be walked or let outside often to play. He is a daschund/feist mix. I do have an appt to get him fixed, but its not until September at the spay and neuter clinic. I can always transfer that over to an adopter. He will have all his shots soon. I am in no rush to find him a home, I want to make sure whoever takes him can handle his personality. I would say if you have another dog they would need to meet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hello! My name's Ibar! Ibar is a charming little dog with a heart full of love. Despite a challenging start in life from a hoarding situation, he has proven to be resilient and sweet-natured. This adorable canine companion has a special affinity for toys and delights in playtime, especially with other dogs. Due to his past experiences, Ibar may initially appear shy, but underneath that hesitancy lies a gentle and affectionate soul. He is in the process of learning to trust and become more comfortable with people. Patience is key when interacting with Ibar, as he may take some time to warm up to new faces and situations. In the right environment, Ibar has the potential to blossom into a confident and happy pup. A caring and patient owner who understands his need for time and reassurance will be the perfect match for Ibar. With love and support, Ibar is sure to overcome his fears and embrace the joy that life has to offer. *He has had surgery for his cherry eyes twice but they have come back both times.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 7, 2024, 12:42 pm
