Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Milo is a very special pure bred Dachshund who is turning 4 years of age in January 2025.  He is weighing in on the heavy side at 28 pounds due to this   Previous owner having major health issues and could not take him out for the exercise he needed.  He is walking now and on a fair and practical diet to trim him down about 8 pounds.  Milo is a handsome light blonde boy that is in our care after owner asked us to take him and find a great home.  He is adjusting to the new life with his foster mom and another dog in the foster home and also a cat. He is finding his rhythm in the new lifestyle and is housebroken when on a schedule and walks nicely and quietly on the leash in the neighborhood.  This boy is so loving and just wants to snuggle when inside with you and sniff all the outside worldly smells when on a walk.  He loves his sweaters and his darling winter coat and he craves your attention and a recliner to sit in with you.   He is healthy and getting happier as the world of going for walks has started anew for him.  He is hanging out with a Lab/pit mix male and they are enjoying each other’s company.   The cat is not so happy but tolerant about Milo being there and he is trying to be respectful.  If you love the Dachshund breed then you will love our pleasantly plump Milo, who is soon to be a little muscle man instead, once he drops a few pounds, he will be a treat to have at the end of your leash and a companion maybe sleeping on the pillow next to you. He is game for the next “Big Adventure” in life as long as it is active.   If you are interested please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 2, 2024, 10:18 pm

Story
Koda is a sweet six month old puppy who was born on May 20, 2024. We have only had her for about a week, but unfortunately, due to personal reasons we are not able to keep her. She does get along well with other dogs and is very playful. She is a bit shy at first but eventually opens up. We have all of her up-to-date records, including some of her favorite toys. She is mostly house trained, but like any puppy has her accidents if not taken outside routinely. If you have any questions, please feel free to send us a message. We do need to find her a loving home before November 26.

Story
Bun is a three-year-old dachshund-beagle mix with a heart as big as her love for snuggling! She is happiest when she is right by your side and will follow you around like a shadow, making sure you are never lonely. At night, she loves to burrow under the covers with you for maximum cuddle time. This little princess does well in her crate and is working on her potty training skills. She is also quite the toy enthusiast, squeaky toys are her absolute favorite, and she loves to gather them all to herself, creating her own little treasure pile! Bun is a very cautious around men and needs time to warm up to them. When you come home, she’ll be right there, bouncing on her back legs and ready for a pick-up-and-kiss session! She also gets along well with other dogs and even cats, although she likes to take the lead as queen of the household—humans and animals alike! If you’re looking for a devoted, cuddly and playful companion, who’s got a bit of a royal streak, Bun might just be the one for you!
