Please read ALL of this listing prior to emailing with questions or inquiries. If you are interested in Deana and feel that you would be a good match for her, you MUST FIRST fill out and submit our application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). After we receive your application and review it, we will contact you. Thank you! Biscuit is a cute little 11-lb. Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who is looking for his forever home and family, along with his buddy, Dixie. We're told he's about 11-years old, but he certainly doesn't act like a senior... he still has plenty of energy and enjoys going for long walks. In his foster home, Biscuit gets along well with the other three small dogs. He is well housetrained, and 'does his business' on a leash since his foster home doesn't have a fenced yard. Biscuit does sleep in a crate at night, but doesn't enjoys it and will complain for a while before he settles down. He does not do well riding in a car, so a family who generally stays close to home and will take him for nice long walks (which he really enjoys) will be best for him. Biscuit especially loves his foster dad, and will cuddle next to or on him whenever possible. We know that he would love to have a male in his new family! Biscuit is neutered, microchipped, current on his Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and tested negative for Heartworms. He also received a dental cleaning, so he is fully vetted and ready to go to his forever home. Biscuit's adoption fee is $400.00 if adopted separately. The adoption fee is $600.00 for Biscuit and Dixie together. Biscuit is a loving, sweet, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that you would like to add Biscuit (or Biscuit and Dixie together) to your family, please submit an application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home! Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

We're told she's about 11-years old, but she certainly doesn't act like a senior... she still has plenty of energy and enjoys running around in the yard and going for long walks. Dixie is extremely well socialized and gets along with everybody. She's a quiet girl, unlike most Dachshunds, and her foster mom thinks she a perfect little girl... a joy to have around the house! In her foster home, Dixie gets along well with all the other resident dogs, both big and small. We don't know about cats, but since she's so laid-back we're pretty certain she would be fine with cats. She is housetrained and crate trained. She can do 'her business' while on a leash since her first foster home didn't have a fenced yard. Dixie sleeps quietly in a crate at night without any complaints, but we know she'd love to snuggle with her new guardian in their 'big bed'! Dixie is spayed, microchipped, current on her Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and tested negative for Heartworms. Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 20 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 5, 2024, 11:37 pm

Story
Please contact foster at Meghan.shew@yahoo.com / taray@hotmail.com•Sweet boy who will be attached to his owner at the hip. Loves attention and getting pets. Follows you around the house like your shadow.•Gets along with other dogs, lives with another small dog in foster care and loves to play with her and walks well with her outside. He can, however, get possessive of his human and get jealous if the other dog wants to sit on the owner’s lap while he is also on their lap, but otherwise gets along great!•A little weary of men - lived with a male in his first foster home and barked the first few days at him, but slowly warmed up to him. Would bark at men passing by during walks at first, but is already showing improvement and not barking at every single one anymore.•House trained - had a few accidents the first day but is already picking up on his routine and will alert in the middle of the night if he needs to go out.•Have not tried crating him, but he is non-destructive when left alone in the home, and loves to sleep in the bed with his human. If he is not allowed in the bed, he will sleep on his dog bed in a separate room and is quiet through the night unless he needs to go out to go potty.•Lives in an apartment currently in foster and does bark if he hears someone in the hallway but stops when told “no”.•Picky eater, still working on finding a combination of what he likes.•He is not a fan of the cat in the foster home, but it’s only been a day and will monitor to see if he warms up to the cat. To be fair, the cat doesn’t like him either.•Good listener and easily redirected when told no or to come.
