Story
George is a sweet dog, he’s about six years old. He enjoys barking at other dogs and chasing squirrels. When I’m not at home George just barks all day and my apartment community is considering making me move if it continues. I hate to let George go but I don’t have a choice. He only barks when I’m not home or when he’s outside playing.

Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
This adorable girl definitely has a before and after story and Critter Cavalry is so excited to be part of a great future and a change in her life. Her name is Gidget and she's a 2-year-old 34 lb Doodle mix girl that was running as a stray for some time in a very rural County of Tennessee. She was finally caught and trembled as she sat in her kennel run at the small shelter. They knew she would never improve if she stayed in that kennel waiting for someone to find her so a kind groomer with a rescue heart was notified.  This girl was an emergency emotionally and physically and needed to get her cleaned up and shaved down and leave the shelter.  Soon, she was smiling and feeling like a new dog!  The before and after pictures are amazing aren't they?  She has a lot of energy and would do best with a dog that can hold his own with her.  She is going to be a victory  story of redemption. Would you like to be a part of that story and write her future in your book of life?  You will certainly make a difference and define your intention to rescue dramatically by adopting this girl Gidget.  Please contact Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live as you inquire. She's located in Tennessee but is able to transport northward on a weekend transportation.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 18, 2024, 6:08 pm

Please read ALL of this listing prior to emailing with questions or inquiries. If you are interested in Deana and feel that you would be a good match for her, you MUST FIRST fill out and submit our application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). After we receive your application and review it, we will contact you. Thank you! Biscuit is a cute little 11-lb. Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who is looking for his forever home and family, along with his buddy, Dixie. We're told he's about 11-years old, but he certainly doesn't act like a senior... he still has plenty of energy and enjoys going for long walks. In his foster home, Biscuit gets along well with the other three small dogs. He is well housetrained, and 'does his business' on a leash since his foster home doesn't have a fenced yard. Biscuit does sleep in a crate at night, but doesn't enjoys it and will complain for a while before he settles down. He does not do well riding in a car, so a family who generally stays close to home and will take him for nice long walks (which he really enjoys) will be best for him. Biscuit especially loves his foster dad, and will cuddle next to or on him whenever possible. We know that he would love to have a male in his new family! Biscuit is neutered, microchipped, current on his Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and tested negative for Heartworms. He also received a dental cleaning, so he is fully vetted and ready to go to his forever home. Biscuit's adoption fee is $400.00 if adopted separately. The adoption fee is $600.00 for Biscuit and Dixie together. Biscuit is a loving, sweet, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that you would like to add Biscuit (or Biscuit and Dixie together) to your family, please submit an application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home! Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

We're told she's about 11-years old, but she certainly doesn't act like a senior... she still has plenty of energy and enjoys running around in the yard and going for long walks. Dixie is extremely well socialized and gets along with everybody. She's a quiet girl, unlike most Dachshunds, and her foster mom thinks she a perfect little girl... a joy to have around the house! In her foster home, Dixie gets along well with all the other resident dogs, both big and small. We don't know about cats, but since she's so laid-back we're pretty certain she would be fine with cats. She is housetrained and crate trained. She can do 'her business' while on a leash since her first foster home didn't have a fenced yard. Dixie sleeps quietly in a crate at night without any complaints, but we know she'd love to snuggle with her new guardian in their 'big bed'! Dixie is spayed, microchipped, current on her Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and tested negative for Heartworms. She also received a dental cleaning, so she is fully vetted and ready to go to her forever home. Dixie's adoption fee is $400.00. Story
Please read ALL of this listing prior to asking questions. If you are interested in Beaux and feel that you would be a good match for her, you must first fill out an application here (please copy and paste the link): https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ After we receive your application we will contact you... thank you! Beaux is a beautiful chocolate and tan, 9-year-old Dachshund who is ready for her forever home. She came to us paralyzed, but quickly regained use of her legs, and can now run and play to her heart's content! This little Doxie has some trouble being still. Even when she’s really tired, she still wants to keep going. And she absolutely LOVES to ride -- in a car, a boat, wheelbarrow, or backpack. As long as she isn't left in the house, she’s a happy little camper! Although Beaux does very well with the other dogs in her foster family, she is capable of entertaining herself and probably would do well without another canine companion, as long as she has human companionship. Beaux also LOVES children! Like most Dachshunds, she is highly intelligent... and a bit more mischievous than your average pup. Because of Beaux’s high energy level, she tries to go up and down stairs, hop off the furniture, etc. -- things that Dachshund's really aren't supposed to do. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard, so she can run and explore safely. Her foster home has a fenced yard with a doggie door. Her foster parents have not taught her to walk on a leash, which is one thing we're hoping her new family will be able and willing to do for her. Beaux is housetrained, but her back injury affected her bladder-control and at times she may dribble when she walks toward the door. She wears a doggie diaper most of the time in her foster home. Like most Dachshund's, Beaux has a great appetite! She enjoys carrots and other veggies… and she loves watermelon. She has a few favorite chew toys -- one of which is a golf ball! Beaux is healthy and isn't currently on any special medications other than a supplement for joint support. She is current on her Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccine and is spayed, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and had her teeth cleaned. She tested negative for Heartworms, and is on Heartguard for Heartworm prevention. Beaux's adoption fee is $400.00. We accept checks or cash for adoption fees... sorry, we do not take cards. Beaux is a loving, active, and smart little girl who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that Beaux would be a good match for your family, please submit an application by going to our website foreverhomek9rescue.org for an application and email the completed application to us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com.
