Hi! I'm Pumba, a 9 year old Dachshund mix, though I like to think I look pretty dashing for my age. Can you believe my 10th birthday is coming up? I've got my paws crossed that I'll be celebrating with a family who will love and spoil me on my special day. I'll even share my birthday treats with you! I'm a shy guy at first, but once I warm up, I'm as loyal and loving as they come. I get along with other dogs after I warm up, and I'm already great with cats and kids! I'm low energy and really just want a cozy spot to call my own. I love car rides, and I'm quite the gentleman on a leash, so I'd be happy to go on little adventures with you! I'm just a sweet, quiet senior who's ready for a loving home where I can enjoy the little things in life. Could that be you? I promise to be your loyal best friend!

This is Earnest another one that came from the 6 dogs dumped in Fowlerville he is such a sweet boy he loves to be held and get those belly rubs. He is about 20 lbs and about a year and a half old. I'm not really by sure if he ever endured abuse but with what happened to shasta and the other dog it would not surprise us he is absolutely terrified of men. The poor boy gets right down on the ground. It's so sad. He is super sweet though and once he knows you won't hurt him he will dive right into your arms and give you all the face kisses you will ever need. His best friend here at the shelter is Kimi which is another dog that we previously posted that came from the same place. He is wonderful with cats, dogs and kids (kids who know boundaries).
