Story
Charming CHAMP is a middle-aged guy who likes mellow walks and quiet time with his human. He LOVES to snuggle and at 15 lbs he fits wonderfully in a lap. We estimate him to be a Dachshund / Terrier mix and about 7-9 years old. He would do best in a quiet household without children or other pets. Champ can be very protective of his people and home, so he would prefer to be your one and only - no other pets or children. Any interested applicants will need to come to the shelter to spend some time with him before adoption to understand his behaviors and how to best support him to have a happy home. The volunteers at ARF love him to bits and know he will be a wonderful buddy for the right person!

Story
*Name: Fred (Flintstone Litter) *Age: 1.5 years old *Current Weight: 27 pounds *Rescued from: Texas (currently located with foster in Texas, transport will be scheduled once adopted.) *Adoption fee: $475 They don't come any cuter than this! At just 27 pounds, Fred is a short legged bundle of sweetness, smartness, and affection. He is incredibly friendly and loves to meet new people and dogs of all sizes. Fred is a cuddle bug and a wiggle butt - he loves nothing more than snuggling up to his favorite humans and wagging his tail with excitement. A perfect companion, our Fred is a pleasure to work with, walk with, and watch TV with. His behavior in the house is impeccable. Fred has been in a loving foster home with other dogs and kids, and interacts wonderfully with all. Fred would do best in a home with another playful dog to romp around with. He loves the small children in his foster home and is gentle and calm with them. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy and love into your life, Fred is the pup for you!  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1624964##

Story
Hudson is a handsome loving 4yr old purebred standard size 24.9 lbs dachshund. He unfortunately has littermate syndrome that is only focused at his twin. He gets along fine with his younger brother and has been great with our grandchildren. It pains us to give him up ,but he deserves a better life than we can provide with his twin.

Story
Please ensure you understand and can meet the needs of this dog before applying. &#226&#151&#143 Energy level: medium &#226&#151&#143 Potty trained: yes &#226&#151&#143 Fenced yard needed: would like, but not necessary &#226&#151&#143 Shared walls ok: yes &#226&#151&#143 People: all, including children &#226&#151&#143 Dogs: great with others &#226&#151&#143 Other: on prescription diet for bladder stones   Overview Meet Bella, a delightful approximate 14-year-old red short-haired dachshund looking for her perfect retirement home. At 19 pounds, this sweet lady has plenty of love to give and proves that age is just a number! She's a resilient soul who's ready to become someone's cherished companion.   Environment Bella is seeking a home where she can enjoy a perfect balance of gentle activity and cozy relaxation. She's house-trained and does wonderfully in any living situation, though she'd appreciate a yard for casual exploring. A true homebody, Bella prefers to have company around as she can get a bit anxious when left alone. She's happy left to her own devices and walks beautifully on a leash, making her an adaptable companion for various lifestyles.   Bella’s foster says: “She is so sweet and so resilient. Would make a great companion to sleep in bed at night and take along anywhere as long as you don’t mind taking your time walking.”   Pets & People Bella is a social butterfly who does great with everyone she meets! She lived with children in her previous home and has proven to be wonderful with people of all ages. In her foster home, she's been amazing with the other dogs, confidently finding her place in the pack. While she gets along with all dogs, she would likely prefer a calmer household with senior dogs or even being an only dog where she can soak up all the attention.   Health Bella is in good health for her age, though she does require a prescription diet to manage bladder stones. She has a few lumps that the vet has identified as harmless fatty lipomas. Like many of us, she's working on losing a couple of pounds, but that just means more opportunity for gentle walks with her new family!   Location Bella is available for adoption from Morrisville, NC. She's a wonderful car passenger, making travel a breeze. Please email caitlin.simmons18@gmail.com with any questions or complete an adoption application at the button above. Her adoption fee will be $250.00. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 22, 2024, 9:34 am

Story
&#226&#151&#143 Energy level: low (on crate rest) &#226&#151&#143 Potty trained: needs assistance &#226&#151&#143 Fenced yard needed: no &#226&#151&#143 Shared walls ok: no &#226&#151&#143 People: all &#226&#151&#143 Dogs: friendly with small dogs &#226&#151&#143 Other: special needs with mobility and bladder expression   Overview Meet Printz, a sweet 5-year-old red smooth coat dachshund who's looking for a special family to cherish him. At 17.2 pounds, this loving boy proves that good things come in medium packages! Despite facing some mobility challenges, Printz maintains a wonderfully positive attitude and has a heart full of love to share.   Environment Printz is seeking a patient and nurturing home where someone can be present most of the time, as he gets a bit anxious when left alone. While he's currently on crate rest due to a back injury and needs help with mobility, he still enjoys the simple pleasures in life. He does well walking with assistance using a sling and is perfectly content in homes without a yard. He's well-behaved in his crate when his family needs to step out, but he can be vocal so shared walls are probably not a good idea. His reasonable energy needs and gentle nature make him an excellent companion.   Pets & People Printz is a very loving dog who thrives on human connection and wants nothing more than to be near his person. While initially shy, he quickly warms up to show his affectionate personality. He's a social butterfly with other small dogs and does very well in multi-dog households, but is untested with children or cats. He can be vocal around larger dogs, but this is likely due to his size and mobility situation. He's gentle when taking treats and very food-motivated, which makes him easy to bond with.    Health Printz has some special medical needs that require a dedicated family. He currently needs assistance with bladder and bowel expression due to his back injury. He can take trazodone as needed to help manage any discomfort or anxiety. His mobility requires some extra support, and he uses a sling to help him walk comfortably. These needs are manageable with the right care routine, and his sweet personality makes it all worthwhile.   Location Printz is available for adoption from Lexington, SC. Due to his special needs, he would prefer a home within a reasonable driving distance, as he can find long car rides challenging. Please email autenlinda@yahoo.com with any questions or complete an adoption application at the button above.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 13, 2025, 9:35 pm
