Story
Charming CHAMP is a middle-aged guy who likes mellow walks and quiet time with his human. He LOVES to snuggle and at 15 lbs he fits wonderfully in a lap. We estimate him to be a Dachshund / Terrier mix and about 7-9 years old. He would do best in a quiet household without children or other pets. Champ can be very protective of his people and home, so he would prefer to be your one and only - no other pets or children. Any interested applicants will need to come to the shelter to spend some time with him before adoption to understand his behaviors and how to best support him to have a happy home. The volunteers at ARF love him to bits and know he will be a wonderful buddy for the right person!

Story
*Name: Fred (Flintstone Litter) *Age: 1.5 years old *Current Weight: 27 pounds *Rescued from: Texas (currently located with foster in Texas, transport will be scheduled once adopted.) *Adoption fee: $475 They don't come any cuter than this! At just 27 pounds, Fred is a short legged bundle of sweetness, smartness, and affection. He is incredibly friendly and loves to meet new people and dogs of all sizes. Fred is a cuddle bug and a wiggle butt - he loves nothing more than snuggling up to his favorite humans and wagging his tail with excitement. A perfect companion, our Fred is a pleasure to work with, walk with, and watch TV with. His behavior in the house is impeccable. Fred has been in a loving foster home with other dogs and kids, and interacts wonderfully with all. Fred would do best in a home with another playful dog to romp around with. He loves the small children in his foster home and is gentle and calm with them. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy and love into your life, Fred is the pup for you!  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1624964##

Story
Yoyo is a three year old dachshund mix with a big personality. He is a sensitive and particular dog who will need a home understanding of his quirks. Yoyo enjoys walks, especially if he can use his nose to investigate. He's a dog with a sense of humor, and know humans find it funny it when he chases leaves and spins in circles after his own tail. And what a gorgeous tail it is! Yoyo does have rules. He was previously in a home with small children who were not very kind to him, so therefore he will not be placed in a home with children or in a home where children visit. He does not get along with other dogs and is not suitable to live with cats. We are looking for an adult only home with Dachshund experience. Yoyo will need people who will read his body language and will recognize when he is uncomfortable. A patient, stable home will allow him to thrive, Yoyo is a dog that has tons of potential, he's just in need of a home that will allow him to grow into an excellent dog! For more information on Yoyo, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500
