Eunice is a 9-year-old, 21-pound female dachshund mix from Alabama. She's a sweet and mellow pup who loves to cuddle. She doesn't bark at all, but has her own funny little opera going - it truly feels like she sings sometimes! She will whine dramatically if you try to move her when she's settled somewhere cozily. Eunice walks very well on leash, mostly potty trained outside and fully on pee pads. She's so long that she's not the best at going down a flight of stairs, but is fine going up them. She would be happy in most homes where can get snuggles. She just ignores her current small foster doggy siblings, so we think she'd be fine with dogs her size or smaller. We haven't seen her around cats. Vaccinated for DHPP, rabies, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention, next round due May 12. He also travels well in a bag or cruises in a car. The important thing to consider is that Cherry was rescued from a hoarding case - so he is looking for that very patient, committed human who is able to consider this a marathon, not a sprint as he learns to gain your trust and reveal just how wonderfully adorable of a companion he truly is! While he may look like a puppy, Butterscotch is a 10-year-old, 9.5lb., well-mannered gentleman. This dachshund mix was found as a stray, but clearly knows and longs for his own family. Butterscotch is house trained, walks well on a leash, and will politely wait in front of the refrigerator for chicken treats (with his little grinch feet). He is fine when left alone, and is happy both sleeping in his dog bed or snuggling up with you. With this off-the-charts cuteness, it will be very hard not to snuggle him every chance you get! Butterscotch is friendly with other dogs his size, along with calm, bigger dogs as well. He is great on the subway and in cars, and he’s the perfect size for carrying around (though would do best in a home without small children or rambunctious adults).
