Story
Jules was born around February 21, 2017 and weighs about 22 pounds.  Joyful was contacted by the brother of a man who had gone into Hospice and left behind 3 dogs and a cat.  The man's brother had owned the animals and loved them very much but he was ill and unable to take care of himself let alone his pets.  Jules is an extremely loving, sweet girl, that may be a bit shy at first and loves to cuddle and have lap time.  However, she will take a little time to warm up so a home with a ton of traffic may not be best for her.  Jules does well with the other dogs here and lived with a cat in her former life, but we feel she has too much interest in cats to live with them again.  Jules rides well in the car and walks fine on a leash. She is one the quiet side unless there is something to bark about.  Update from the Foster Mom Sue;  In search of: Snugglebuddy for Ms. JULES !!! She wants someone to cuddle up with her on the couch of your choice, especially with the cooler temps coming! She gets along with other dogs and is. Jules has a lot of love to give! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $475.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. Yo peeps. My name is Rico. I’m a fun loving, energetic and people pleasing kind of dude. I’m looking for a family that will give me boundaries as I’m a teenager approx 6-8 months that needs them. I do enjoy to play with other dogs but sometimes I’m a bit overzealous. Cats that put me in my place I’m good with and children that can help remind me to use my manners is cool with me. I will play all day and cuddle all night. I would really like to find a home so I can start my real adventure of having a family of my own. Rico is finishing his series of vaccines, has been dewormed and microchipped. He will be neutered asap. If interested, please submit an application. Please note that all current pets MUST be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason. Please Note: We are making changes to our Foster to Adopt process. Limited resources to follow up on pending adoptions and delays in processing payments is adding to our financial restrictions. Going forward we will collect payment when the dog is transferred to the potential new owner and will be held for an agreed upon trial time. Exceptions or extended trial times will be considered on a case by case basis and will depend upon the need or situation.
