Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Maizie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Maizie is 30 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Maizie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 22, 2025, 9:20 pm

Story
Sadie is a 10 year old female Dachshund. She has been fully vetted, and would do best in a home with 1 or 2 adults who are home the majority of the time. She has the classic little old lady syndrome, meaning that she bonds hard to her person but don’t really appreciate any kids or other dogs getting close to her person, she wants you all to herself! She weighs 12 pounds and loves with every ounce! Adoption fee of $200 covers the cost of her spay, microchip, annual vaccines, de worming, heartworm test, treatment for a UTI, and a 1 year supply of flea/tick/heartworm prevention medication is provided. She will also have a follow up exam before adoption to ensure she is perfectly healthy. She will need a dental cleaning at some point in the future. Her original owner passed away last year and she has been given away 4 times since then for peeing in the floor, which has turned out to be a UTI. After 3 days of being on antibiotics she feels much better and her personality is coming out. She will sleep in a crate but she would prefer to be snuggled up under blankets with you. Story
I'm part of a litter of five puppies, 9 weeks old as of 1/1. Four are female and one is male. Our Mom is Ginger, a small Dachshund-looking mix who was hanging out at a convenience store, begging for food. Someone found us living under a trailer. We've all been vetted and are healthy. Now that we are weaned we are looking for loving families to adopt each of us. We are typical puppies: happy-go-lucky, silly, and playful. Like all young puppies, we will benefit from someone being home most of the time at first. Work from home or part time worker is fine, but overall best we're not alone for long at this age. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp and someone will get right back to you right away.
