Story
Rosie is a 8 year old female mix but don't let her hear you call her a middle aged woman. Rosie identifies as an Olympic athlete in training. She is reluctantly appreciative of healthier food and portion control in order to meet that goal. She will always choose the longer, hillier route in our walks. She came to us with bladder stones, but thankfully, those stones were removed and she is learning she can trust her bladder again.Rosie has done well with other dogs in our playgroups but wouldn't mind if she had all your attention to herself. She really appreciates human contact, love and attention. She would love to live out her best life in a compassionate home. If that is your home come out and meet her. The adoption fee is $200 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com.  Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission. ##2051865##

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Mocha is a 4 month old male Doxie/Poo recently released from a commercial breeding facility. His coat is soft and fluffy and may need professional grooming. Mocha has a soft and loving personality and loves to play with his brother, Latte, so a small resident dog in his new home would be ideal. Mocha is not yet house trained and sleeps in an enclosure at night to keep him safe. Mocha loves to be held and to give kisses....he also is discovering how fun it is to play with toys! Due to his diminutive size, children in the home must be over the age of 8 and a securely fenced yard will be required. The suggested adoption donation for Mocha is a minimum of $700 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
Check out little Miss Bailey! This sweet little girl is a perfect lap sized dog for anyone looking for a cuddle buddy and fellow TV watcher. She also enjoys walks and flittering around the house with zoomies as they come along. She is the perfect combination of energetic and couch potato but probably the first as she has puppy energy to use up. She gets along wonderfully with her two foster brothers, each weighing in well over 100 pounds each so she has no fear. We feel like she will do best in a home with another canine buddy. She is fine with cats in her foster home but slow intros are always best. She is ready to go and anxious to find her forever home as her last home ended with her person being hurt in a fall so was unable to care for little Bailey anymore. She is in the process of potty training but her foster family is making good progress and she does know to use puppy pads if inside. We have not had her around children but with her sweet temperment we would be surprised if she wasn't fine with them, testing would be wise of course. If Bailey is for you, fill out an adoption application and set up your time to meet this sweet little girl
