Story
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process. Located in Troy, MO Requirements: Secure physical fenced yard LEVI is a puppy mill dog survivor that has lived in a kennel environment for his short life. In spite of it all, Levi is a social little guy that does not enjoy being alone. Levi is described as a silky wire doxy. His fur is not course but soft. Levi was born with a congenital birth defect in one of his eyes where his eye is always dilated. He should wear doggy sunglasses when outside and in bright lights to combat discomfort and possible early cataracts. Currently, his tear production is low and may need eye drops for the remainder of his life. However, the dry eyes could be from the unclean condition he was previously living in and should be monitored with a vet to determine if the drops need to be long term. Levi loves to play and he has discovered toys and likes to play with all of them! He does well in the car and is just happy to be free and around others. He is good with other dogs, but we do not believe he needs one in his new home. He will need a secure physical fenced yard. Levi has stitches from his neuter on 2/6 and will need those removed before he can go home in about 2 weeks. Levi's adoption is $400. He is neutered, received a dental, current on vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Visit leiashope.org for next steps. PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing. All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application. We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet. Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!

Story
Greeting friends,  my name is Henry i am approximately a 2 year old doxie/beagle/pug/mix?¿?¿ of absolute cuteness.  I am looking for my forever ever home.   It takes me a brief moment or two,to warm up but when I do I promise I am a good boy.  I love Love LOVE  all dogs,  doesn't matter big or small because I'll play with them all, even if they dont want to play with me. I will need a fence because I  got a great sniffer and once I get the smell I love to chase squirrels and rabbits, and try to make them my friends.  My foster mommy and daddy says I've gotten a lot better at peeing outside but that we're still working on house training. Again I'm not a huge fan of strangers and will bark to show them im not scared but will warm up really quickly and instantly thinks every dog I see is my best friend. I love to snuggle and my foster mommy says I'm super smart when it comes to solving dog puzzle boards especially if there are treats. Honestly as long as someone is willing to work with me, Ill will do my very best to be a perfect dog for you. Do you have room in your home and heart for a fun, silly, quirky guy like me?All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/tick preventative.  Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs are tested for heartworms. Adoption fee is $150 for cats and $200 for dogs. To meet this pet, please fill out a dog application or cat application.  Not able to adopt?  Inquire about fostering or sponsoring this pet.  For more information visit www.allpawsrescue.info.  March 4, 2025, 10:09 pm
