PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Traveler! Traveler is about 5 years old, 12 lbs, and he likely has some dachshund in his mix! Traveler was confiscated from a hoarding situation. In his foster home, he is working hard on his house-training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 10+, and other small dogs. He has not been exposed to cats.His foster says, `Meet Traveler! This sweet, quirky boy has a heart as big as his personality. Rescued from a tough situation where he was left outside in freezing weather, Traveler is now looking for a home where he can truly be loved and pampered. Traveler is a playful, silly soul who loves his toys and enjoys lounging with his favorite humans (though he’s not a fan of kisses). He adores dogs his size and would thrive in a home with at least one canine companion. Traveler is crate trained, mostly housebroken, and well-behaved with older kids. His playful barking is his way of keeping you aware of any visitors or nearby dogs, but it’s just part of his endearing nature..`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on March 14th. Manny is a 4 year old red dachshund mix who was surrendered to an area shelter through no fault of his own. He is now looking for a home with an experienced dachshund owner. He can be a bit of a resource guarder with his person but as long as he is managed correctly it is not a problem. He will need these boundaries established from the beginning when entering the household as to not confuse him. He cannot be alpha!! He is very loving & sweet with people. He loves to burrow & cuddle with his person! You will find that he enjoys evenings or nap times burrowed under a blanket with his person on the couch. He also loves to play with other dogs & hang out with them as well. He would benefit from being placed in a home with ONE other pup similar in size & energy. He is also looking for a fenced in yard. Manny is crate & house trained (like a dachshund!). He does do well with cats. No children please. He would do best also in a quiet home. He does not like a lot of commotion & can get a bit anxious. In order to set him up to succeed, his foster family has trained him to go into an xpen that they have set up in a bedroom for some down time if he gets overstimulated. It works for him & keeps everyone safe. He has no issue being crated or in his pen. Right now he sleeps in the pen at night but he has 3 other foster siblings. When he is placed in a home with one other pup, the dynamics of that may change as he is a cuddler & would enjoy sleeping with his people. Manny is neutered, microchipped & UTD on vaccines. He has no known health issues. His adoption fee is $550.He is available for a meet & greet to an approved applicant. Manny will make a perfect second pup for your dachshund family. This sweet little pint of sunshine will brighten your darkest day! Meet Harley, she was an owner surrender to no fault of her own. The owner simply could not care for her any longer due to her health. So Harley came into our program and since has been fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is heart worm negative.   Due to her small size, she would make a perfect pet for apartment or condo living. She is potty trained on pee pads. Loves to cuddle and snuggle to her heart's delight. She gives kisses freely and often. She is a very low shedder, easy to maintain her hygiene.   Currently, she is in Arkansas, but headed to New England to be fostered. This girl is so sweet that we feel she will be adopted soon.
