Our Mom is Ginger, a small Dachshund-looking mix who was hanging out at a convenience store, begging for food. Someone found us living under a trailer. We've all been vetted and are healthy. Now that we are weaned we are looking for loving families to adopt each of us. We are typical puppies: happy-go-lucky, silly, and playful. Like all young puppies, we will benefit from someone being home most of the time at first. Work from home or part time worker is fine, but overall best we're not alone for long at this age. Meet Daisee the doxie! Daisee is approximately 6 years old, 14 lbs currently, and she likely has some Dachshund in her mix! She was surrendered after her elderly owner could no longer care for her. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house-training, is crate trained and walks pretty well on leash. She could go to a home with kids 8+, and other dogs. No cats please.Her foster says, `She lived with another dog (Dixie) and is bonded to her and got along with my dogs. She is shy for short time then jumps to your lap.She is very sweet, very alert to you and wants to please. She`s smart and follows commands. She enjoys going outside for potty breaks with you at herside. She really enjoys lap time. She`s alert and watches everything going on. She will make a great companion.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on February 14th. Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
