She knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with her humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Special adoption considerations: Marlowe is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworms, but landed in a place where heartworm treatment is provided! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to discuss where in the treatment process this Lucky Dog is in right now! She is very outgoing, happy, and loves attention. She, along with her two daughters, Carob & Cameo, were found in a parking area close to a storage business along with several other dogs. These 3 were happy and friendly and went running up to my foster…one even jumped in the car! Cleo was in season and Carob was obviously pregnant…dogs running the street when the owners should have taken the responsibility to take care of them. All 3 dogs are lucky…my foster found them and asked to bring them to our ranch. Carob is due to have her pups any day and Cleo & Cameo are vaccinated, spayed, and eating good. Now all they need is a forever home and that’s where you come in. Please give these wonderful dogs a chance. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption.
